Wingman Metrics
Rock Steady's wine list is compact — 12 bottles, 12 glasses, full stop. It reads like someone made deliberate choices rather than just filling slots, which is more than you can say for most spots running a tight list. The price ceiling of $21/glass and $125/bottle keeps things grounded.
The list skews white and sparkling, with a handful of reds rounding things out. You've got Dr. Loosen Riesling and Alois Lageder Porer Pinot Grigio covering the European white side, Whitehaven and Kamusha holding down Sauvignon Blanc from opposite ends of the globe, and Justin Cab plus Catena Malbec doing the heavy lifting for red drinkers. There's no real old-world depth, no Burgundy, no Rioja — which feels like a missed opportunity for a Spanish-Latin concept — but what's here is recognizable and drinkable. The House of Brown selections add a nice touch of representation that feels intentional rather than tokenistic.
Every bottle on the list is also available by the glass, which is either a thoughtful move or a sign that the list was built around the glass program from the start — either way, it works in your favor. Pours range from $14 to $21, with most whites and reds clustering in the $14–$16 range. That's a reasonable ask for Atlanta, and it keeps experimentation low-risk.
The Bottom Line
Rock Steady keeps it simple and mostly gets it right — fair prices, every bottle available by the glass, and a few genuinely good producers mixed into a crowd-pleasing lineup. It's not a destination wine list, but it's a reliable one. If you're eating here, the Dr. Loosen at $15 is your move.

OK Yaki built a ten-bottle wine list that outpunches wine programs three times its size — every pick is intentional, the by-the-glass access is generous, and the pricing doesn't punish you for being curious. If you're eating here and defaulting to beer or sake, you're leaving the best part of the beverage program untouched.

Buckhead · Atlanta · Mediterranean/Greek/Middle Eastern
Pasha is a genuinely fun night out — the atmosphere is lively, the food lands well, and the crowd is into it. But the wine program is operating in the background rather than earning its place on the table. Until there's a public list with real prices and identifiable producers, we'd recommend asking the server what's open and ordering a glass of whatever they're excited about — or just start with a cocktail and see where the night takes you.

Parkwoods is a dependable wine stop — nothing here will make you a convert, but nothing will embarrass you at a client dinner either. If you're already eating here for the fried chicken or the steaks, order the wine confidently; just don't expect the list to be the reason you came. The Backyard patio is genuinely nice, and a cold glass of something simple out there on a good Atlanta evening is its own reward.

Phillips Seafood isn't trying to be a wine destination, and the list makes that crystal clear. The pricing is fair enough that you won't feel robbed, and the by-the-glass selection is broad enough to find something drinkable — but the list reads like it was assembled by committee using the most recognizable labels available. Grab the Mer Soleil with your crab, skip the Whispering Angel markup, and temper your expectations accordingly.

Midtown · Atlanta · New American/Southern
Midtown Social is a bar with a wine list, not a wine bar with a kitchen — and the list makes that hierarchy clear. Pricing is fair relative to what's poured, and the $5 house glass program gives it a pulse, but this is the kind of list you drink from because it's there, not because it brought you in. If wine is why you're going out tonight, this isn't your spot.

The Family Dog prices its wine reasonably, and credit where it's due — $8–$9 a glass is honest money. But five unnamed, producer-free varietals is not a wine program; it's an afterthought. If you're here for the pub experience, lean into a beer and come back to wine somewhere that actually cares.

· Buford · Spanish/Latin
Frontera Buford does not care about wine, and that's fine — it's clearly a margarita and Mexican food destination. But if you're looking for a glass to go with dinner, the Cava or Emmolo Sauv Blanc are your best bets; skip the Conundrum and save the wine ambitions for somewhere else.

At $6 a glass, the price is hard to argue with — but when the entire wine program is two anonymous varietal labels with no producer or origin attached, there's nothing to get excited about. If wine matters to you even a little, order a margarita instead.

Rosa Negra is clearly built around tequila and tapas, and the wine list confirms that wine is an afterthought at best. If you need a glass of something with dinner and price is the only criterion, $7 works — but don't come here expecting anything beyond the most basic pour. Order the cocktails and let the wine list do what it does: exist quietly in the background.
