Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Agave Bandido is less a list and more a footnote — two options, both $6 a glass, both named by grape variety alone with no producer, no region, no context. It's the kind of wine program that exists only because someone had to put something on the menu.
Two wines. A Pinot Grigio and a Cabernet. That's it. No vintage, no producer, no region — just the varietal names hanging there in the digital ether. For a Spanish/Latin concept, there's not a single Tempranillo, Albariño, Malbec, or anything remotely connected to the cuisine's roots. This isn't a wine program; it's a placeholder.
Both options are $6 a glass, which is genuinely cheap by any restaurant standard. The problem isn't the price — it's that there are only two pours and neither one tells you anything about what you're actually drinking. Two glasses, zero information, full stop.
The Bottom Line
At $6 a glass, the price is hard to argue with — but when the entire wine program is two anonymous varietal labels with no producer or origin attached, there's nothing to get excited about. If wine matters to you even a little, order a margarita instead.

Joey D's Oak Room isn't trying to reinvent the wine list — it's trying to make sure you drink well at dinner in Dunwoody, and it largely succeeds. The by-the-glass program is the real story here: broad, fairly priced, and anchored by a few genuinely interesting picks. Send a friend here when they want a reliable glass of something decent without a side of pretension.

Fogo de Chão Dunwoody isn't building a wine destination — it's running a smart, scaled by-the-glass program that keeps the price of entry low and the list familiar enough that you never feel stuck. The $6 South American tier is a genuine win for a night centered on meat and fire. Send a friend here for the Alamos Malbec and the picanha; just don't send them expecting to geek out.

Vino Venue is a genuine suburban overachiever — a small, sparkling-forward list with real Champagne options and fair pricing in a part of Atlanta that typically offers neither. If you're going to drink, lead with bubbles and don't touch the Moscato.

Rosa Negra is clearly built around tequila and tapas, and the wine list confirms that wine is an afterthought at best. If you need a glass of something with dinner and price is the only criterion, $7 works — but don't come here expecting anything beyond the most basic pour. Order the cocktails and let the wine list do what it does: exist quietly in the background.

Gocha's Tapas Bar is almost certainly a fun night out for reasons that have nothing to do with wine. The list is short, anonymous, and shows no engagement with the cuisine it's supposed to complement — not a single Spanish or even European producer in sight. Order the sangria, enjoy the atmosphere, and don't come here hoping the wine list delivers.

Bar.bacoa keeps it simple and mostly gets it right — fair prices, a by-the-glass program that covers the whole list, and just enough Spanish character to feel intentional. This isn't a destination wine list, but it's an honest one. If you're in Virginia-Highland and want a glass of Cava or Albariño without overpaying, this is a reliable call.
