Wingman Metrics
The first thing you notice about Confab's wine program is that every single bottle on the list is available by the glass — all 28 of them. That's a genuine commitment to accessibility, and it immediately sets the tone: this is a place that wants you drinking wine, not overthinking a bottle commitment.
The list skews white and sparkling, which makes sense for an Atlanta crowd leaning into lighter pours. You get solid international breadth — Alsace with the Hugel Pinot Gris, Burgundy via Louis Jadot Chablis, South Africa with the Babylonstoren Chenin Blanc, and Portugal with the Nortico Alvarinho — but the reds are where things thin out fast. Pinot Noir dominates the red section (Erath, Benton Lane, Patz & Hall), and there's no Cab, Syrah, Malbec, or Zinfandel in sight, which will frustrate anyone craving something with more grip. The bubbles section punches above its weight: a Crémant, a Champagne, two rosé sparklers, and a Prosecco cover real ground without padding with cheap filler.
Every bottle pours by the glass, which is the headline here — that's a rare and genuinely useful policy. Prices run from $9 (Luna Nuda Pinot Grigio) to $23 (Patz & Hall Pinot Noir), giving you meaningful range at both ends. There's no listed rotation or reserve program, so what you see is what you get.
The Bottom Line
Confab's all-by-the-glass format is genuinely smart and removes the usual friction of wine list navigation. The pricing is fair across the board and the white and sparkling selections show real range — just don't come in expecting a serious red wine moment. If you're here for a couple of glasses with dinner, you'll leave happy.

Dresden · Atlanta · Gastropub/Tavern
Dresden Tavern isn't trying to be a wine destination, and that's fine — it's a neighborhood tavern doing neighborhood tavern things. The list is familiar, prices are fair for the format, and having the entire program available by the glass is genuinely useful. If you're here for a burger and a glass of something decent, the Domaine Bousquet Malbec or White Haven Sauv Blanc will take care of you without drama.

Piedmont Park · Atlanta · Gastropub/Tavern
The Nook is a perfectly decent place to have a beer or a Ketel One sangria while watching the park — and honestly, that might be the move. The wine list is a collection of familiar labels marked up well past their worth, with no evidence of rotation, staff expertise, or curatorial effort. If wine is your priority tonight, keep walking.

Alici is doing something genuinely interesting with 25 bottles — leaning into high-acid, food-driven picks that make the seafood menu sing. We don't have price data to fully validate the value story, but the intentionality of this list is hard to ignore. If you're going for oysters, this wine program was built with you in mind.

Bangkok Station's wine list does the bare minimum — it has wine, it's mostly available by the glass, and nothing is undrinkable. But with markups that sting on recognizable bottles and zero creativity in selection for a cuisine that rewards adventurous pours, it's hard to get excited. Order the Rosé, enjoy the food, and don't overthink it.

Mali's wine list does what it sets out to do: keep everyone at the table from complaining. It's familiar, approachable, and almost entirely devoid of surprise. If you're here for the food — which you probably should be — grab the Willamette Valley Pinot, stay out of the Cab deep end, and focus on what's coming out of the kitchen.

Vesper is a reliable pour — a wine bar with a short, approachable list, fair pricing, and a by-the-glass program that's genuinely one of its strongest assets. The Penfolds Bin 389 at $22 a glass and the Vina Pomal Reserva at $13 are both smart pours worth seeking out. It's not destination wine drinking, but it's honest, and in Atlanta, that's enough to earn a repeat visit.

Suite 200 Grille is doing more with 24 labels than most restaurants do with twice that. Fair glass prices, a Barolo on the menu, and an Italian selection that earns its keep — this is the kind of neighborhood spot you should actually bring wine-curious friends to. It won't blow your mind, but it won't embarrass you either.

Appalachian Grill's wine list won't win any awards, but it's a thoughtful little collection for a town where the alternative is usually whatever's in the gas station cooler. If you're in Cartersville and want a solid glass of wine with your dinner, this list won't let you down — just don't arrive expecting a deep cellar.

Eighteen70's wine list is a placeholder, not a program. It checks the box — there's wine, it's recognizable, nobody will send it back — but it shows zero ambition and almost certainly charges steep markups on bottles you've seen a hundred times. Stick to cocktails or beer unless someone at the table just needs a glass of something familiar.
