Wingman Metrics
The wine list at The Nook reads like someone handed an Instacart shopper a $500 budget and said 'get wine.' Apothic, Meiomi, Cupcake, Freakshow — these are names you recognize from endcap displays, not from a thoughtful curation. For a spot sitting next to one of Atlanta's most scenic parks, the list does nothing to match the setting.
Twenty labels split across whites, reds, and bubbles, with zero representation from Europe outside of Torresella Pinot Grigio and a house Champagne of unknown origin. The reds lean heavily on California mass-market brands — Juggernaut, The Prisoner, Saldo — which aren't bad wines, but at $60–$70 a bottle, they're not doing you any favors either. There's a 'Kat's Reserve' section that sounds intriguing until you see it's just The Prisoner and Saldo dressed up with a section header. No skin-contact wines, no interesting regions, no Old World presence to speak of — this list is playing it as safe as possible.
Sixteen of the twenty labels are available by the glass, which sounds generous until you look at what's actually in the lineup. At $7 a glass, Proverb Chardonnay and Proverb Cabernet anchor the low end — these are budget-tier supermarket bottles. The top of the glass range caps at $15 for the Juggernaut Cabernet, which is a fine pour but a significant markup over its retail price.
The Bottom Line
The Nook is a perfectly decent place to have a beer or a Ketel One sangria while watching the park — and honestly, that might be the move. The wine list is a collection of familiar labels marked up well past their worth, with no evidence of rotation, staff expertise, or curatorial effort. If wine is your priority tonight, keep walking.

Alici is doing something genuinely interesting with 25 bottles — leaning into high-acid, food-driven picks that make the seafood menu sing. We don't have price data to fully validate the value story, but the intentionality of this list is hard to ignore. If you're going for oysters, this wine program was built with you in mind.

Bangkok Station's wine list does the bare minimum — it has wine, it's mostly available by the glass, and nothing is undrinkable. But with markups that sting on recognizable bottles and zero creativity in selection for a cuisine that rewards adventurous pours, it's hard to get excited. Order the Rosé, enjoy the food, and don't overthink it.

Mali's wine list does what it sets out to do: keep everyone at the table from complaining. It's familiar, approachable, and almost entirely devoid of surprise. If you're here for the food — which you probably should be — grab the Willamette Valley Pinot, stay out of the Cab deep end, and focus on what's coming out of the kitchen.

Vesper is a reliable pour — a wine bar with a short, approachable list, fair pricing, and a by-the-glass program that's genuinely one of its strongest assets. The Penfolds Bin 389 at $22 a glass and the Vina Pomal Reserva at $13 are both smart pours worth seeking out. It's not destination wine drinking, but it's honest, and in Atlanta, that's enough to earn a repeat visit.

Garden & Gun Club's wine list is exactly what it wants to be: accessible, fairly priced, and loaded with names people recognize. It won't challenge anyone, but it won't embarrass anyone either — and with 16 options by the glass, it's a legitimately good list for a group with mixed tastes. Send a friend here who wants to drink well without doing homework.

Crave isn't trying to be a wine destination, and the list makes that clear. But with fair glass prices, full by-the-glass availability, and a couple of genuinely solid picks like the Calera Pinot Noir, it does its job without embarrassing anyone. If you're here for the food and want a reasonable glass to go with it, you'll be fine — just don't show up expecting regional wines to match the cuisine.

· Roswell · Gastropub/Tavern
Westfield Tavern's wine list is exactly what a good neighborhood gastropub wine list should be — accessible, fairly priced, and heavy on by-the-glass options so you're never stuck ordering a full bottle of something mediocre. It won't dazzle anyone looking for discovery, but if you're in Roswell and want a solid pour of R. Stuart Pinot without getting gouged, this place earns the trip.

· Alpharetta · Gastropub/Tavern
Taffer's Tavern Alpharetta isn't trying to impress wine people, and that's fine — it's a gastropub with a crowd-pleasing list built for guests who want a bottle they already know. If you're with a table full of Caymus fans, everyone goes home happy. If you're hoping for something interesting or fairly priced, the Greywacke is your best play and then let it go.

Bernie's isn't trying to be a wine destination, and it doesn't need to be — what it does is offer a clean, fairly priced list where the Dr. Loosen Riesling alone is worth the stop. If you're in Kennesaw and want a decent glass without paying downtown Atlanta markups, this does the job honestly.
