Wingman Metrics
Vesper keeps it tight — 17 labels, most of them available by the glass, all priced in a range that won't make you wince. This isn't a list trying to impress; it's a list trying to serve, and there's real value in that distinction.
The coverage is broad but shallow: bubbles, whites, a Provence rosé, and a red lineup that spans Oregon Pinot to Paso Robles Cab to an Aussie Shiraz-Cab blend. Vina Pomal Reserva 2017 is the one nod toward Old World depth, while the Belle Glos double feature (Balade from Oregon and Clark & Telephone from Santa Barbara) gives Pinot lovers something to actually argue about. The Quilt Reserve Napa Cab at $180 and Belle Glos Clark & Telephone at $105 are aspirational anchors on a list that's otherwise comfortably mid-range. Don't come here hunting for Grower Champagne or natural wine — that's just not the mission.
Fourteen of seventeen labels pour by the glass, which is the real story here. The range runs from $8 for the Prince De Richemont Brut or Skyfall Cab up to $22 for the Penfolds Bin 389 — a genuine by-the-glass hero for anyone who wants to drink well without committing to a bottle. The glass program is what makes Vesper worth a stop.
The Bottom Line
Vesper is a reliable pour — a wine bar with a short, approachable list, fair pricing, and a by-the-glass program that's genuinely one of its strongest assets. The Penfolds Bin 389 at $22 a glass and the Vina Pomal Reserva at $13 are both smart pours worth seeking out. It's not destination wine drinking, but it's honest, and in Atlanta, that's enough to earn a repeat visit.

Garden & Gun Club's wine list is exactly what it wants to be: accessible, fairly priced, and loaded with names people recognize. It won't challenge anyone, but it won't embarrass anyone either — and with 16 options by the glass, it's a legitimately good list for a group with mixed tastes. Send a friend here who wants to drink well without doing homework.

Crave isn't trying to be a wine destination, and the list makes that clear. But with fair glass prices, full by-the-glass availability, and a couple of genuinely solid picks like the Calera Pinot Noir, it does its job without embarrassing anyone. If you're here for the food and want a reasonable glass to go with it, you'll be fine — just don't show up expecting regional wines to match the cuisine.

Underground Atlanta · Atlanta · Other
Utopia isn't trying to be a wine destination, and the list makes that abundantly clear. If you're here for brunch and mimosas are your goal, fine — but if you want an actual wine experience, Underground Atlanta is not your stop. Order the Prosecco, skip the tower, and adjust expectations accordingly.

Upper Westside · Atlanta · New American/Southern
The Corner Grille Upper Westside keeps its wine program simple, accessible, and mostly fairly priced — this is a neighborhood spot that wants to feed you well and keep your glass full, not win any awards for its cellar. If you're here for Southern comfort food and want an easy, no-fuss glass of wine alongside it, the Septima Malbec or Michel Thomas Sancerre will do the job. Skip the Meiomi, order another appetizer, and let the kitchen do the heavy lifting.

Silom Thai & Sushi Bar clearly has its priorities elsewhere, and that's fine — the food may well be the reason to visit. But the wine list is an afterthought: overpriced crowd-pleasers with no soul and no connection to the cuisine they're supposed to accompany. Order the Chablis if you must, or skip wine entirely and find a better drink on the cocktail or sake menu.

Osha Thai Sushi Galleria's wine list is exactly what it needs to be — accessible, fairly priced, and available almost entirely by the glass. It won't impress a wine nerd, but it won't embarrass anyone either. If you're here for the food, the El Terrano Albariño or Louis Jadot Gamay will carry you through dinner without drama.

· Alpharetta · Wine Bar
The Velvet Note is one of Alpharetta's most genuinely distinctive nights out — a close-up jazz listening room that happens to serve wine, not a wine bar that happens to have music. The wine program leans Italian and Californian but isn't documented well enough for us to make specific bottle calls; pricing trends steep for the area. Come for the experience, order what sounds good, and let the music do the heavy lifting.

· Alpharetta · Wine Bar
Sulit is doing something quietly unusual in Alpharetta: committing to a European-focused, white-wine-forward list in a market that typically defaults to domestic Cabernet and Chardonnay. The list is small, but it's curated with a point of view — and the by-the-glass ratio means you can explore without committing to a bottle. If you're tired of the same suburban wine bar experience, this one's worth a detour.

Concourse T · Atlanta · Wine Bar
Vino Volo earns its Wild Card badge not by being a great wine bar in the abstract, but by being a genuinely decent one inside one of the world's busiest airports. Markup will be airport markup — accept that going in — but the international reach on the list and the half-price Tuesday glass program show more care than the setting demands. If you're killing time at Concourse T and you care even a little about what's in your glass, this is where you should be sitting.
