RagingWine reviewed Eighteen70 Restaurant & Bar’s wine list and gave it The Lazy List — RagingWine’s Vibe-Check rating. How RagingWine reviews wine lists →
Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Eighteen70 reads like someone printed out a grocery store's top sellers and called it a program. Twenty-one labels, all familiar faces, zero risk taken. It gets the job done if your benchmark is 'something red with dinner,' but don't come looking for discovery.
The list skews almost entirely toward high-volume commercial brands — Kim Crawford, Josh, Meiomi, LaMarca — the kind of wines that move cases at Total Wine, not the kind that earn a second look. There's a token nod to international with Ruffino Chianti DOCG, and Decoy by Duckhorn and Starmont add a thin veneer of credibility on the red side. No Rhône, no Spanish anything, no natural bottles, no real regional depth — just the greatest hits of the California-plus-one-Italian formula that middle-market restaurants default to when no one's really paying attention to the wine program.
By-the-glass specifics aren't published, so we can't tell you what's actually available by the pour versus bottle only. Given the list's composition, we'd expect the usual suspects to dominate the glass program. No indication of rotation or a thoughtful pour selection.
The Bottom Line
Eighteen70's wine list is a placeholder, not a program. It checks the box — there's wine, it's recognizable, nobody will send it back — but it shows zero ambition and almost certainly charges steep markups on bottles you've seen a hundred times. Stick to cocktails or beer unless someone at the table just needs a glass of something familiar.

Downtown Norcross · Norcross · Italian / Pizza
Paizanos doesn't pretend to be a wine destination, but the list earns more respect than the casual dining format might suggest — fair pricing, a thoughtful Italian focus, and enough half-bottle options to keep the evening interesting. If you're heading to downtown Norcross for a weeknight dinner or a low-key date night, you can drink well here without working too hard to find the right bottle.

Pêche at The Forum isn't trying to be a wine destination, and it doesn't pretend otherwise. The list is approachable, fairly priced, and smartly aimed at white wine drinkers who want something to go with their seafood without overthinking it. If you stick to the Pieropan or the Albariño, you'll eat and drink well for a reasonable check.

The evidence here points to a wine dinner feature list, not an actual wine program — and even by wine dinner standards, five bottles with no pricing and a mystery sparkling wine isn't inspiring. If you're eating at J. Alexander's Peachtree Corners on a regular Tuesday, we genuinely don't know what's on the wine list, and that's not a great sign. Order a cocktail, ask your server what's actually available, and don't plan your evening around the wine.

Dominick's isn't trying to be a wine destination, and that's fine — the list is priced fairly, available almost entirely by the glass, and has a few genuinely good bottles mixed in with the crowd-pleasers. If you're in Norcross and want a solid glass of Allegrini with your pasta without paying downtown Atlanta prices, this works.

Garden & Gun Club's wine list is exactly what it wants to be: accessible, fairly priced, and loaded with names people recognize. It won't challenge anyone, but it won't embarrass anyone either — and with 16 options by the glass, it's a legitimately good list for a group with mixed tastes. Send a friend here who wants to drink well without doing homework.

Last Dance is the kind of place wine-curious eaters should get excited about — a genuinely creative kitchen in an unpretentious room, with a wine program that at least tries to match the energy. We can't give you specific bottle recommendations until we get a full list in hand, but the regional range alone puts it ahead of most spots at this price point. Go for the liver éclair and the numbing okra, order something from Austria or Argentina, and let the room do its thing. We'll be back with more specifics once the list is fully sourced.

Austin's at Serenbe isn't running a wine program — it's running a non-alcoholic beverage token dressed up as one. If you're looking to drink wine with dinner, plan ahead and ask about corkage, or adjust your expectations dramatically before you sit down.
