Yori isn't trying to be anything other than what it is — a scrappy, all-in local winery pouring its own stuff at prices that make you want to order a second round. If you've never explored Lake Erie hybrid wines, this is the most affordable classroom in the region.

South Shore is a legitimate hidden gem in the Lake Erie wine corridor — not fancy, not encyclopedic, but honest about what it is and genuinely exciting if you're willing to engage with cold-climate varieties on their own terms. If you're passing through North East on Route 89 and you skip this cellar, that's on you.

The Skunk & Goat isn't your wine destination, but it's not trying to be — and that's fine. If you want a decent pour at a fair price in Erie without any pretension, this list will take care of you.

Cloud 9 is the kind of place that earns its Wild Card badge by simply existing and giving a damn about wine in a market where most restaurants stopped trying. The happy hour draft wine deal alone is worth the trip — just stay away from the Cristal unless someone else is buying.

The Cork 1794 is the Wild Card because nobody expects to find a Wine Spectator-credentialed list with a real sommelier in Erie — but here it is, doing the work. Markups are steeper than we'd like, but the bones of this program are genuinely good, and Mallory's presence on the floor makes it worth leaning in.
