Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Table Twenty Five is a single focused page — around 20 bottles total — that matches the room's energy: approachable, polished, not trying too hard. It's not going to impress a wine nerd, but it's not supposed to. What it should do is price fairly, and that's where things get complicated.
The list leans California-heavy with a few Spanish detours and a fun nod to New Mexico via Gruet's sparkling rosé. You'll find Head High Pinot Noir from Sonoma, a DaVide Albariño from Spain, and the Trinafour Petite Sirah from Mendocino doing some of the more interesting lifting. The gaps are obvious — no Burgundy, no Rhône, no Italian to speak of — but for a neighborhood spot on Historic 25th Street in Ogden, the range is respectable. The problem isn't selection; it's that several bottles are priced like they're being served in a hotel lobby.
Roughly 8-10 pours by the glass in the $9–$14 range, which is reasonable on the surface. The actual lineup tracks the bottle list — expect the usual suspects like Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc and Meiomi Pinot Noir alongside the more interesting DaVide Albariño. No evidence of any rotation program or guest pours keeping things fresh.
Trinafour Petite Sirah, Mendocino 2021 — $58
At 81% over retail, this is the least egregious markup on the list — and Petite Sirah from Mendocino is a legitimately interesting pour. Big, dark, structured. It actually earns its price in context.
Gruet Sparkling Rosé, New Mexico
Most people at this table are going to order a Cab or a Pinot. Don't. Gruet is one of the most underrated sparkling producers in the country, full stop — made in New Mexico by a French family using traditional method. It's the most interesting bottle on the list and probably the most food-flexible.
La Marca Prosecco NV
At $38, you're paying over 150% above what this bottle retails for — and La Marca is a grocery store staple that runs about $15 everywhere else. Order the Gruet instead and actually get something worth talking about.
DaVide Albariño, Spain + Lemon Olive Oil Cake
Albariño's natural citrus drive and crisp acidity play directly into the lemon-forward cake without competing with it. It's a lighter pour that keeps the finish clean rather than fighting the dessert.
✔️ The Bottom Line
Table Twenty Five is a genuinely pleasant spot on a historic street that deserves a better wine pricing strategy — markups consistently run 120–150% over retail, which undercuts an otherwise thoughtful small list. Order the Gruet, skip the Prosecco, and enjoy the room.
South Ogden · Ogden · Mexican / Cantina
Cactus Grill is a solid spot for tacos, enchiladas, and a well-made margarita — the wine list is just along for the ride. If wine matters to you tonight, order the Cooper & Thief and move on; if it really matters to you, come back another night.

Ruby River's wine list is a utility player — it shows up, does what's needed for a steak dinner, and goes home. We wouldn't make the drive for the wine, but if you're already there for the prime rib, the Chateau Ste. Michelle will take care of you.

If you think Utah wine is a punchline, this place is the correction — it's a small, serious list built around a real winemaking operation, and the value holds up. Send a curious friend here; tell them to order the La Crescent and not ask too many questions.

Mercantile isn't here to impress wine nerds, and it doesn't try to. What it offers is a genuinely low-stakes, fairly priced place to drink decent West Coast wines with a cheese board in hand — and in Ogden, that's worth something.

Ogden Beer Company is a genuinely fun riverfront spot — just order a Cougar Juice wheat and call it a day. The wine list exists, technically, but it's not trying to impress anyone and you shouldn't let it impress you.

Harvest is a dependable, well-stocked wine program for a business dinner or date night near Yale — just don't expect to discover anything new. If you're ordering the Veuve, you're paying for the logo; if you're ordering the Merry Edwards or the Broglia, you're getting your money's worth.
