The list is an all-Napa deep dive that most wine programs couldn't dream of — verticals of Diamond Creek, Bond Estates, Heitz Cellar, Mayacamas, and Abreu sit alongside over 100 Ridge Vineyards listings that alone would make this worth visiting. Single-vineyard bottlings from Stag's Leap Wine Cellars and Ridge Monte Bello anchor the prestige end, with some bottles climbing into five figures. The regional focus is unapologetically narrow — if you're hunting Burgundy or Barolo, look elsewhere — but if Napa Cabernet Sauvignon is your thing, this is essentially the Library of Congress. Gaps exist outside the valley, but that's a feature, not a bug: PRESS made a bet on Napa and they're winning it.
The by-the-glass program runs 15-25 options with pours starting around $20 and climbing to $40, which is the price of admission for this zip code. Expect rotating selections that skew toward accessible Napa Cabs and Chardonnays rather than the deep cellar stuff — the library bottles are a by-the-bottle conversation. Mayacamas Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon — varies
Mayacamas is one of Napa's most undersung producers — old-school, mountain-grown Cab that ages forever and rarely gets the hype of the cult labels. At PRESS you're getting access to multiple vintages, and relative to the Bond and Abreu bottles flanking it on the list, this is where your dollar stretches furthest without sacrificing any pedigree.
Ridge Vineyards Monte Bello
Most guests come for the Napa royalty and walk right past the Ridge section, which is a mistake. Monte Bello is one of California's greatest wines — technically a Santa Cruz Mountains Cab — and PRESS stocks it across multiple vintages. It's the outlier on an all-Napa list that rewards the curious drinker willing to stray one column to the left.
Bond Estates Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bond is exceptional wine, no argument. But the markups on cult Napa Cabs in a setting like this are stratospheric, and Bond is among the most recognized names on the list — which means you're paying a premium on top of an already inflated retail price. The juice is real; the value math is not.
Heitz Cellar Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon + Wood-fired steak
Heitz is old Napa — structured, earthy, with that signature eucalyptus note that cuts right through the char and fat of a wood-fired cut. It's the pairing that would've been made in 1974 and still hasn't been improved upon. Classic meets classic.
