Wingman Metrics
Walk into an Irish pub in Milton, GA and the last thing you expect to think about is the wine list — and honestly, that instinct isn't wrong. The list runs 20 labels across reds, whites, rosé, and bubbles, which is more than most pubs bother to put together. It's not trying to impress anyone, but it's trying, and that counts for something.
The 20-bottle list skews heavily toward recognizable California names — Boen and Three Thieves show up multiple times across varietals, which tells you the buyer prioritized brand familiarity over exploration. There's a nod toward something more serious with the Stags Leap Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 and The Prisoner Red Blend 2022, both of which punch above the pub-list average. Whites lean safe with Kendall Jackson Chardonnay and Murphy Goode Sauvignon Blanc, though Whitehaven and Neyers Carneros Chardonnay add a bit of credibility. The bubbly section — La Marca Prosecco, Wyclef Brut, and Nicholas Feuillatte — is a genuine bright spot for a place that could have just stocked one sparkling and called it a day.
By-the-glass availability isn't confirmed from available sources, so we can't tell you which bottles cross over to pours. Given the list's brand-forward construction, we'd expect the usual suspects — Three Thieves and Kendall Jackson — to be the workhorses at the bar. If you're ordering glass pours here, ask what's open before committing.
The Bottom Line
The Olde Blind Dog is a pub first and a wine destination never — but it's put together a 20-bottle list that's functional and occasionally surprising, which is more than most places with shamrocks on the sign bother to do. If you're here for a pint, stay for a pint. If a friend insists on wine, steer them toward the Neyers or the Stags Leap and call it a win.

Suite 200 Grille is doing more with 24 labels than most restaurants do with twice that. Fair glass prices, a Barolo on the menu, and an Italian selection that earns its keep — this is the kind of neighborhood spot you should actually bring wine-curious friends to. It won't blow your mind, but it won't embarrass you either.

7 Acre BarnGrill isn't trying to be a wine destination, and that's fine — what it offers is a thoughtful-enough list with fair prices and enough variety to keep most tables happy. The Patz & Hall, Greenwing, and Trimbach picks show someone made real choices here rather than just calling a distributor rep. Send a friend if they want a decent glass with dinner in Milton; just don't send them expecting to discover something they've never seen before.

L'Antoinette is doing something genuinely surprising in Milton — a Bordeaux-focused wine list with real producers, fair bottle prices, and enough by-the-glass options to make a solo diner feel taken care of. We'd send a friend here specifically for the wine, and that's not something we say about many suburban French spots.

The Union's wine list is honest, fairly priced, and refreshingly complete on the by-the-glass front — every bottle available by the pour is a genuine convenience. It won't win any awards for depth or discovery, but the Rioja Crianza and Nebbiolo give adventurous drinkers somewhere to land. Send a friend here knowing the wine won't embarrass them or their wallet.

The Family Dog prices its wine reasonably, and credit where it's due — $8–$9 a glass is honest money. But five unnamed, producer-free varietals is not a wine program; it's an afterthought. If you're here for the pub experience, lean into a beer and come back to wine somewhere that actually cares.

Edgar's Proof & Provision isn't trying to be a wine destination and it doesn't pretend to be — the list is short, familiar, and priced fairly for what it is. If you're here with a group that can't agree on anything, the fact that every bottle is available by the glass saves the night. Send a friend here for beer or cocktails; if they end up with a Felino Malbec or a Sea Sun Pinot Noir, they won't be unhappy.

Vinings · Atlanta · Gastropub/Tavern
Meehan's Vinings is a pub that happens to have wine on the menu, and the wine program reflects exactly that level of ambition. Pricing is fair and the by-the-glass selection covers the bases, but there's no depth, no discovery, and no sign that anyone thought hard about this list. Order a beer or a whiskey — that's what this place does well.
