Wingman Metrics
Twenty labels, twenty by-the-glass options — the entire list is available by the glass, which tells you exactly what this place is: a crowd-friendly spot that wants you comfortable, not challenged. The price ceiling of $18/glass and $70/bottle keeps things accessible, and the range from Este Vinho Verde Rosé at $10 to The Prisoner's Saldo Zinfandel at $18 shows some range in ambition.
The list leans heavily New World with some smart detours — Trimbach Pinot Blanc from Alsace and Le Cengle Côte de Provence Rosé give it a little European credibility. Chardonnay gets the most real estate with four options spanning Horse Heaven Hills (Mercer Bros.), San Luis Obispo (Chamisal), and the Sonoma Coast (Patz & Hall), which is actually a thoughtful regional progression if you're paying attention. Pinot Noir gets the same treatment: Monterey, Willamette Valley, and Russian River Valley are all represented. What's missing is any real Old World depth — no Burgundy, no Rhône, no Italian reds to speak of beyond Zenato Pinot Grigio on the white side.
The full bottle list doubling as the by-the-glass list is genuinely useful — you can explore before committing to a bottle. At $10–$18/glass, the pricing is honest for a suburban Milton restaurant, and having Patz & Hall and Pop N' Pour by the glass is a cut above what most comparable spots offer. No rotating selection or weekly by-the-glass specials appear to exist, so what you see is what you get.
The Bottom Line
7 Acre BarnGrill isn't trying to be a wine destination, and that's fine — what it offers is a thoughtful-enough list with fair prices and enough variety to keep most tables happy. The Patz & Hall, Greenwing, and Trimbach picks show someone made real choices here rather than just calling a distributor rep. Send a friend if they want a decent glass with dinner in Milton; just don't send them expecting to discover something they've never seen before.

L'Antoinette is doing something genuinely surprising in Milton — a Bordeaux-focused wine list with real producers, fair bottle prices, and enough by-the-glass options to make a solo diner feel taken care of. We'd send a friend here specifically for the wine, and that's not something we say about many suburban French spots.

The Union's wine list is honest, fairly priced, and refreshingly complete on the by-the-glass front — every bottle available by the pour is a genuine convenience. It won't win any awards for depth or discovery, but the Rioja Crianza and Nebbiolo give adventurous drinkers somewhere to land. Send a friend here knowing the wine won't embarrass them or their wallet.

UP on the Roof may have a great view and a solid brunch menu, but the wine program isn't a reason to visit — it's barely a reason to look up from the cocktail list. If wine matters to you even a little, order something bubbly and move on; there's nothing here to chase.

The Farmhouse isn't trying to be a wine destination — it's trying to serve a complete meal, and the five-wine pairing structure suggests they've thought hard about what that means. If you're drawn to Old World obscurities, ancient grape varieties, and dessert wine finishers, this program punches well above its size. Come for the tasting menu, treat the wine pairings as part of the experience, and don't expect to go rogue on the list.

Secreto is putting in more effort than most kitchens in this zip code when it comes to wine — a structured list, real producers, and 14 glass pours tells you someone cares. The markups lean steep in places, especially on the sparkling side, but the Esmonin Pinot and Hartford Court Bordeaux Blanc represent genuine finds worth ordering. If you're in Alpharetta and want a solid bottle with dinner without driving to Atlanta, this gets the job done.
