Wingman Metrics
The wine list here exists because a hotel lawyer somewhere decided it had to. You're looking at a laminated insert tucked into the back of a menu that also advertises the breakfast buffet. Nothing about this list says anyone thought about wine for more than the time it took to place a distributor order.
Eight to fifteen selections, all California, all names you've seen in a grocery store checkout line. Woodbridge, Sutter Home, Barefoot — this is the holy trinity of volume-produced, lowest-common-denominator wine. There's no regional exploration, no small producer, no attempt to reflect anything about the Gulf Coast or the South. The list starts and ends in the same tired zip code it's been visiting for decades.
Five to eight pours by the glass, which sounds decent until you realize every single one of them is a brand you've seen on a gas station shelf. At $8–$13 a glass for Woodbridge Chardonnay and Barefoot Cab, you're paying restaurant markup on wines that retail for $7 a bottle. That math does not work in your favor.
Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Chardonnay — $28/bottle
If you're stuck here and wine is non-negotiable, the bottle price on the Woodbridge Chardonnay is the least offensive option on the list. It's inoffensive, cold, and at the lower end of the bottle range — which is about as much as we can say for anything poured in this dining room.
Sutter Home Merlot
Not a gem by any stretch, but if you're eating a burger and you want something red that won't fight you, the Sutter Home Merlot is soft enough to stay out of the way. Low expectations, occasionally met.
Barefoot Cabernet Sauvignon
Barefoot Cab at $12–$13 a glass is a small crime. This wine retails for under $8 a bottle. There is no version of this math that makes sense for the person holding the credit card.
Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Chardonnay + Wings
Look, the wings are probably the safest bet on the menu, and an ice-cold Chardonnay with enough residual sweetness to handle whatever sauce situation is happening is your best play in a room with limited options.
❌ The Bottom Line
This is not a wine destination — it's a place to sleep near the highway that happens to have wine on the menu because it's legally a full-service hotel. Order a beer, or head somewhere else entirely.
Downtown Gulfport · Gulfport · Steakhouse
The Rack House wine list is exactly what a Gulf Coast steakhouse should be — unpretentious, fairly priced, and wide enough by the glass that you don't feel cornered. We'd send a friend here without hesitation, just with the note to skip the Moscato and go straight for the Ste. Michelle.

Island View Casino · Gulfport · Bar
This is not a destination for wine drinkers — it's a slot machine bar that happens to stock one bubbly. Come for the Sunday bottle deal at Carter Green Steakhouse next door, not for anything happening at the bar itself.

Island View Casino · Gulfport · Seafood / Raw Bar
The food concept is solid, but the wine program is an afterthought in a place that should know better — oysters are practically begging for a decent Muscadet or even a crisp rosé, and the kitchen deserves backup. Come for the shellfish, drink the bubbles on Sunday, and lower your expectations below sea level.

Biloxi Beachfront · Gulfport · American
This is a wine list for people who need wine with dinner and aren't interested in making it a thing — and it delivers exactly that without embarrassing anyone. If wine is important to your night, eat somewhere else; if you just want a glass of something recognizable while you watch the Gulf, you'll be fine.

Gulfport Beachfront / Highway 90 · Gulfport · Hotel Bistro
This is a wine list that exists because the hotel is required to have one. If you're sleeping here, grab a glass of the Clean Slate Riesling and call it a night — but don't make a trip to the Courtyard Bistro for the wine program.

This list was designed for convenience, not conversation. If you're killing time before a flight, grab a glass of Kim Crawford and call it a day — but don't come here expecting anything worth talking about at the table.

Lake Avenue Café shouldn't have a wine list this interesting — and that's exactly why you should pay attention to it. If you're passing through Duluth or staying at Fitger's, make a Wednesday reservation and work the half-price list.

If you're already staying at the Sheraton and want wine with dinner, Bayfront Grille won't ruin your night — but it won't give you a story to tell, either. Come for the bay view, not the bottle list.

Grille 39 is fine — and fine is the ceiling. If you're staying at the hotel and don't want to drive anywhere, the wine list will get you through dinner without incident. Just don't go out of your way for it.
