Wingman Metrics
The Library Lounge looks the part — lakeside resort ambiance, vaulted ceilings, the whole postcard setup. But then the wine list arrives and it reads like the beverage buyer just grabbed whatever was on end-cap at Total Wine. The setting is doing a lot of heavy lifting here.
Fifteen to twenty-five bottles deep and almost entirely California-focused, which would be fine if California meant something interesting — but this list is a greatest hits of mass-market labels you've seen at every airport bar from here to LAX. Meiomi, Apothic, Kendall-Jackson, Francis Coppola Diamond Collection — these are wines built for volume, not distinction. There's no Burgundy, no Rhône, no domestic small-producer discovery, no anything that suggests someone with actual curiosity curated this. It's the kind of list that exists because wine has to be on the list.
Six to ten pours available, which is a reasonable count for a hotel lounge, but the range stops there. What you're getting is a rotation of the same familiar faces in bottle form, just portioned out by the glass at $10–$16 a pour. No rotating selections, no seasonal surprises, no reason to stray from whatever cocktail you were already considering.
Meiomi Pinot Noir — $12/glass
Meiomi is soft, approachable, and widely available for around $15 retail — so at $12 a glass it's not a steal, but it's the most drinkable thing on this list and won't fight whatever you're eating. In this lineup, that counts for something.
Francis Coppola Diamond Collection Cabernet Sauvignon
Nobody's calling Diamond Collection a hidden gem with a straight face, but if you're stuck here and want something that at least has some structure and weight behind it, this is the one to lean on over the Apothic. Low bar, but it clears it.
Apothic Red Blend
Apothic Red retails for around $10 a bottle. Whatever they're charging you here by the glass, the math doesn't work in your favor. It's sweet, it's simple, and it's the most overrepresented wine in America. Leave it on the shelf.
Kendall-Jackson Chardonnay + Lakeside seafood or lighter appetizers at the Chateau Grille
KJ Chard is butter-forward and crowd-friendly enough to work alongside anything creamy or lightly seafood-adjacent from the resort kitchen. It's not a revelation, but it's the most logical match on a list that wasn't built around food anyway.
❌ The Bottom Line
If you're already staying at the resort and want a glass with a lake view, fine — but don't come here for the wine. The Library Lounge is selling the ambiance, and the wine list knows it.

Saltgrass Pointe Royale isn't a wine destination, but it's not an embarrassment either — fair prices, drinkable pours, and a list that serves its purpose alongside a good steak. Send a friend here for the food; just tell them to skip the Meiomi.

White River Fish House is not your wine destination in Branson, but it doesn't pretend to be — the list is safe, priced fairly, and sensible enough for what the kitchen is serving. Saltgrass is a reliable fallback when you're in Branson with a group that just wants steak and a glass of something familiar — nobody's going home disappointed, but nobody's going home talking about the wine either. If you care about what's in your glass, order the Riesling, skip the Chardonnay, and keep your expectations in check.
