The wine list at Saltgrass Pointe Royale is exactly what you'd expect from a Landry's chain steakhouse: familiar labels, steak-friendly reds, and zero surprises. It's not trying to be a wine destination — it's trying to get you a decent glass of Cab before your ribeye arrives. For Branson, that's honestly fine.
The list runs 30-50 bottles deep, leaning hard on California with a nod to Washington State and Texas — workhorses like Josh Cellars, Rodney Strong, Meiomi, and Kendall-Jackson make up the backbone. There's nothing here that will make a wine nerd's eyes light up, but there's also nothing truly offensive. The Washington State presence — Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling in particular — is a small bright spot in an otherwise by-the-numbers selection. Don't come looking for Burgundy or anything that requires a conversation; come knowing what you want.
Ten to fifteen pours by the glass at $9–$16 is a reasonable spread for a casual steakhouse, and the range covers enough ground that your table won't argue. The selections mirror the bottle list closely — familiar producers, approachable styles — so you're not getting poured something mysterious. Rotation doesn't appear to be a priority; this feels like a set-it-and-forget-it program.
Rodney Strong Cabernet Sauvignon — $40–$50 (bottle estimate within stated range)
Rodney Strong consistently punches above its price class in the California Cab world, and in a steakhouse setting it's exactly the right call. If it's sitting at the lower end of the bottle range here, you're drinking well without overthinking it.
Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling
Most people at a steakhouse aren't ordering Riesling, which is their loss. Washington State Riesling from Ste. Michelle has real acidity and a touch of sweetness that cuts through a rich cut or plays nicely off the Gulf Coast shrimp. It's the list's most interesting move and almost nobody orders it.
Meiomi Pinot Noir
Meiomi is everywhere, it's sweet, and it's not doing anything special at a steakhouse. You can find it at any grocery store for less than what you'll pay here, and it won't do your ribeye any favors.
Rodney Strong Cabernet Sauvignon + Mesquite-grilled ribeye
A medium-to-full-bodied California Cab with some oak structure is built for exactly this situation — the smoky char from mesquite grilling and the fat in a ribeye need a wine with tannin and dark fruit to hold their own against it. This is the no-brainer call.

Saltgrass Pointe Royale isn't a wine destination, but it's not an embarrassment either — fair prices, drinkable pours, and a list that serves its purpose alongside a good steak. Send a friend here for the food; just tell them to skip the Meiomi.
