Wingman Metrics
Six bottles. That's the whole wine list at Urban Table — six labels sitting on a page with no by-the-glass options in sight. To their credit, the prices are reasonable, but calling this a wine program is a stretch by any measure.
The list is a grab-bag of recognizable but shallow selections: Miraval Studio Rosé for the crowd, Hahn GSM for anyone feeling adventurous, and a Terre del Vascovo Aglianico that's genuinely the most interesting thing here. There's a white blend from Farmstrong and an Enkidu Sauvignon Blanc to cover the lighter side, plus a Pinot Noir from Sauvignon John that raises a few eyebrows given the name. No depth, no regional story, no real range — it reads like someone picked six wines off a distributor's sample list and moved on. College Station deserves a little more effort than this.
We couldn't confirm any by-the-glass pours — the list appears to be bottles only. If you're dining solo or just want a glass with dinner, you're either committing to a full bottle or pivoting to the cocktail menu.
Hahn GSM — $40
A Grenache-Syrah-Mourvèdre blend from California's Central Coast, Hahn GSM punches above its price point with dark fruit and enough structure to keep things interesting. At $40 it's the most drinkable option on the list for the money.
Terre del Vascovo Aglianico
Aglianico on a New American wine list in College Station is genuinely unexpected. This Southern Italian grape — earthy, tannic, with serious backbone — is the one bottle here that suggests someone made an actual wine decision rather than just filling a slot. Most tables will walk right past it.
Sauvignon John Pinot Noir
At $50, it's the most expensive bottle on the list and the name alone creates confusion — 'Sauvignon John' on a Pinot Noir doesn't inspire confidence. That's a lot to spend at the top of a six-bottle list with no tasting notes or context to justify the price.
Terre del Vascovo Aglianico + Grilled steak or braised short rib
Aglianico's high tannins and acidity are built for red meat — it cuts through fat and holds its own against bold, savory flavors. Whatever hearty protein Urban Table is running, this is the bottle to bring to the table.
The Bottom Line
Urban Table keeps prices honest, and there's one genuinely interesting bottle buried in the list — but six labels is not a wine program, it's a wine afterthought. Order the Aglianico if you're staying for wine; otherwise, look to the bar.

Amico Nave is a reliable neighborhood Italian with a wine list that's serviceable but won't knock your socks off — great for a date night when the food is the star, less great if you're there for the wine. Order something Italian, keep it simple, and enjoy the room.

Campfire's wine list is the vinous equivalent of a hotel fitness center — technically present, clearly an afterthought. Order the cocktails, or bring your own bottle and ask about corkage.

The wine list here is an afterthought dressed up with four surprisingly good dessert wines. Come for the steak, order water or a cocktail through dinner, then let the back half of this list redeem itself.

Christopher's is doing real wine work in a market that rarely demands it — the Champagne program alone earns respect, even if the markups take some of the shine off. If you're eating in College Station and want an actual bottle with dinner, this is where you come.

Saltgrass College Station is not a wine destination, but it's not a wine disaster either — the by-the-glass count is high, the bottom of the list is accessible, and if you pick smart you'll drink fine. Just don't expect to be surprised.

Bleu Duck Kitchen isn't a wine destination, but it's doing more with its list than most restaurants in its zip code — and that Tuesday dinner-plus-bottle deal is legitimately one of the better mid-week moves in Rochester. CIRCA Clarendon isn't trying to be a wine destination and doesn't pretend otherwise — but the all-BTG format, fair prices, and a few genuinely interesting whites make it a solid call when you want wine that works without overthinking it. Send a friend here, just steer them away from the Unshackled.

Ledger's wine list is exactly five bottles and every one of them is sweet or fortified — which sounds like a disaster but somehow works as a tightly curated dessert wine program. Don't come here for a Pinot Noir, but do linger after dinner with a Cerdon or a 20-year Tawny and you'll leave quietly impressed.
