Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Whiskey Cake Round Rock is short, sweet, and entirely by the glass — fourteen options, no bottles, full stop. It's a bar-forward concept and the wine program knows its lane. Don't come here hunting for a Barolo; do come here knowing exactly what $9–$15 gets you on a weeknight.
The fourteen pours skew heavily American, with California and Oregon doing most of the lifting — Sonoma-Cutrer for Chardonnay fans, Chehalem and The Pinot Project splitting the Pinot Noir crowd, and Daou anchoring the red side with some actual weight. There's a nod to Argentina with Altocedro and a nod to Europe with Fleurs de Prairie and Mas Fi's sparkling rosé, but this is not a globe-trotting list. Honig Sauvignon Blanc is a welcome, recognizable name in the white column. The gaps are real — no Riesling, no Rhône, nothing that challenges the drinker — but the selections are competent crowd-pleasers that will satisfy most tables without embarrassing anyone.
All fourteen labels are available by the glass, which is the entire program. Prices run $9 to $15 and the range is broad enough to cover bubbles, whites, rosé, and reds without too much overlap. Rotation appears static rather than seasonal, so don't expect surprises on a return visit.
The Bottom Line
Whiskey Cake Round Rock isn't a wine destination, but it's not trying to be — the all-by-the-glass format keeps things approachable, the pricing is honest, and there are a couple of genuinely good pours hiding in a short list. If wine is your priority tonight, look elsewhere; if you're here for the vibe and want something decent in your glass, Chehalem and Altocedro have you covered.

Swallow Wines is doing something real in a place most people wouldn't expect it — running winemaker events with serious small producers, stocking Counoise and Falanghina, and building a list that rewards the curious. We don't have pricing confirmed, so we can't vouch for value on the numbers, but the curation alone earns a detour if you're anywhere near Round Rock.

Sortino's punches above its weight class for a suburban Italian chain — fair markup, a genuine Italian backbone, and seventeen by-the-glass options give you room to drink well without a fight. It's not a destination wine list, but if you're already there for the pasta, you won't be stuck ordering soda.

Cover 3 Round Rock is a solid gastropub doing a lot of things right — just not wine. The list is undocumented, almost certainly underdeveloped, and not the reason anyone is walking through the door. Order a local craft beer or a cocktail, enjoy the Chicken Fried Chicken, and save your wine curiosity for a restaurant that earned it.

Frank & Margie's wine list is doing something quietly ambitious for Round Rock — twelve Italian-leaning glasses anchored by real producers like Oddero, Principiano, and Collosorbo at prices that don't sting. If you're the kind of person who gets excited about Grechetto di Todi on a Tuesday night, yes, absolutely send your friends here.

Gino's isn't trying to be a wine destination, and it doesn't pretend to be — but the Italian-focused list, fair pricing, and full by-the-glass access make it a genuinely decent place to drink while you eat. Skip the Justin, lean into the Italian reds, and you'll leave happy.

Double Cut is a resort steakhouse wine list doing exactly what it was designed to do: keep guests comfortable and keep bottles moving. The markups are real, especially at the top end, and the list won't surprise anyone who's eaten at a hotel restaurant in the last decade. If you're here, order the Norton Malbec or the Mer Soleil Silver, skip the Caymus, and don't expect a wine revelation — that's not the point.

Motor Supply Co. Bistro appears to put its energy into the kitchen, and that may be the right call — but three wines is not a wine program. Until this list gets a serious rethink, order a cocktail or call ahead to ask about corkage.

THREE isn't trying to be a wine destination, and the list makes that abundantly clear. If you're here for cocktails or the bar scene, you're probably in the right place — but if wine matters to you even a little, this four-item lineup isn't going to do much for you. Order the House Champagne at $5, accept the situation for what it is, and move on.

Sandy Springs · Sandy Springs · New American
Brooklyn Cafe's wine list is doing more than it has to for a Sandy Springs neighborhood restaurant — the white selections alone, from Rudi Pichler to Merry Edwards, show real editorial intent. Pricing transparency is a question mark without confirmed figures, and the glass program is a mystery we couldn't resolve. Worth a visit if you're eating in the area; just go in ready to ask questions.
