Wingman Metrics
Walking into a Thai fish house and landing on a 75-bottle wine list with 35 by-the-glass options is not what we expected — but here we are. The list leans hard into California whites, which is a coherent choice given the seafood-forward menu, even if it plays it pretty safe. It's thoughtfully curated for what it is, even if 'adventurous' isn't the first word that comes to mind.
The list is almost entirely white wine, and it's built around Chardonnay with conviction — Russian River Valley and Napa Valley dominate, with names like Far Niente, Jordan, Cakebread, and Orin Swift Mannequin all showing up. There's a solid Sauvignon Blanc section covering New Zealand (Kim Crawford, Craggy Range) and Napa (Frog's Leap, Cakebread), plus a respectable Pinot Grigio/Gris block that brings in Jermann from Venezia Giulia and King Estate from Willamette. The Riesling section — with both a 50 Degree Rheingau and a Trimbach Alsace — is a genuinely smart call for spicy Thai food, and it's the most interesting corner of this list. What's missing: red wine coverage is thin from what's visible, and there's nothing from the Loire, Spain, or any natural wine territory to speak of.
Thirty-five by-the-glass options is an unusually generous program, and the glass prices run from $8 to $28, which gives you real range. You can pour a Jermann Pinot Grigio ($16/glass) or climb up to a ZD Chardonnay ($23/glass) without committing to a bottle — that's a legitimate perk for a table that can't agree on one wine. The selection mirrors the bottle list closely, so don't expect any surprises off-menu.
The Bottom Line
Snap Thai Fish House has no business having a wine list this size — and yet here it is, doing something genuinely useful by loading up on crisp whites that actually work with spicy, aromatic Thai food. The markups are steep across the board, so target the Riesling and the Jermann and let your wallet breathe a little. If you're eating Thai and want wine instead of beer, this is a far better situation than you'd find at most comparable spots in Atlanta.

Industry Tavern is a fine place to have a beer. The wine list, at just twelve labels, all reliable and none remarkable, signals that wine is not this kitchen's conversation partner. If you're eating here and want a glass, the Benton Lane Pinot Noir or the Vinho Verde are the most defensible choices — but we wouldn't make a trip here for the list.

Buckhead · Atlanta · New American/Southern
The Chastain runs a small, sharp wine list that most people in Atlanta haven't given enough credit to — it earns a Wild Card badge because finding Lopez Heredia and Pax Mahle Chenin Blanc on the same menu as Damilano Barolo at a New American spot in Buckhead is genuinely unexpected. If you're eating here, skip the obvious bottle and let the list surprise you.

Confab's all-by-the-glass format is genuinely smart and removes the usual friction of wine list navigation. The pricing is fair across the board and the white and sparkling selections show real range — just don't come in expecting a serious red wine moment. If you're here for a couple of glasses with dinner, you'll leave happy.

Dresden · Atlanta · Gastropub/Tavern
Dresden Tavern isn't trying to be a wine destination, and that's fine — it's a neighborhood tavern doing neighborhood tavern things. The list is familiar, prices are fair for the format, and having the entire program available by the glass is genuinely useful. If you're here for a burger and a glass of something decent, the Domaine Bousquet Malbec or White Haven Sauv Blanc will take care of you without drama.

Piedmont Park · Atlanta · Gastropub/Tavern
The Nook is a perfectly decent place to have a beer or a Ketel One sangria while watching the park — and honestly, that might be the move. The wine list is a collection of familiar labels marked up well past their worth, with no evidence of rotation, staff expertise, or curatorial effort. If wine is your priority tonight, keep walking.

Alici is doing something genuinely interesting with 25 bottles — leaning into high-acid, food-driven picks that make the seafood menu sing. We don't have price data to fully validate the value story, but the intentionality of this list is hard to ignore. If you're going for oysters, this wine program was built with you in mind.

JP Sushi earns its reputation on the food — the bento boxes and spicy tuna rolls are clearly the draw here, not the wine. Skip the wine list entirely, ask about sake or beer, and save your bottle orders for a restaurant that actually cares about what's in your glass.

Bangkok Station's wine list does the bare minimum — it has wine, it's mostly available by the glass, and nothing is undrinkable. But with markups that sting on recognizable bottles and zero creativity in selection for a cuisine that rewards adventurous pours, it's hard to get excited. Order the Rosé, enjoy the food, and don't overthink it.

Mali's wine list does what it sets out to do: keep everyone at the table from complaining. It's familiar, approachable, and almost entirely devoid of surprise. If you're here for the food — which you probably should be — grab the Willamette Valley Pinot, stay out of the Cab deep end, and focus on what's coming out of the kitchen.
