Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Rioz is less a list and more a footnote — four bottles, all by the glass, tucked somewhere between the caipirinhas and the dessert menu. For a polished rodízio experience charging $30–$50 a head, this is the wine program equivalent of a shrug.
Four labels. That's it. You get a California Cab, a California Chardonnay, an Italian Pinot Grigio, and an Argentine Malbec — essentially the four corners of the 'safe supermarket wine' universe. There's no depth, no regional curiosity, and zero acknowledgment that a Brazilian steakhouse is actually a perfect excuse to go deep on South American wine. No Torrontés, no Carménère, no Tannat — nothing that makes you think anyone gave this more than fifteen minutes of thought.
All four wines on the list are by the glass, priced at $5.95–$6.95, which is genuinely inexpensive and probably the nicest thing we can say here. The selection doesn't rotate, there's no half-price program, and the by-the-glass lineup is essentially frozen in 2011.
Lote 44 Malbec — $6.95
At under seven bucks a glass, it's the only wine on the list with any thematic logic — Malbec and grilled beef are a natural match, and the price is hard to argue with even if the pour is unremarkable.
Barone Fini Pinot Grigio
Barone Fini is actually a respectable Alto Adige producer — a step above the usual commodity Pinot Grigio. Most people will ignore it in favor of the Chardonnay, but if you want something light before the meat parade begins, this is quietly the most credible bottle on the list.
Rodney Strong Chardonnay
Rodney Strong Chardonnay at a Brazilian steakhouse is a puzzling choice on both ends — it doesn't complement the food, and the brand is firmly in the 'grocery store endcap' tier. At $6.95 it won't break the bank, but you'll spend the whole meal wishing you'd ordered the Malbec.
Lote 44 Malbec + Rodízio grilled meats
Malbec and fire-grilled beef is one of the least controversial pairings on earth — the wine's dark fruit and soft tannins hold up to the char without fighting the meat. It's not a sophisticated pairing, but it's the one correct call on this list.
The Bottom Line
Rioz is a genuinely fun place to eat — the meat service is relentless and the energy is high — but the wine program is an afterthought in a room that deserves better. Order the Malbec, enjoy the picanha, and don't come here expecting anything from the wine list.

SOHO is a solid beach steakhouse wine list — fair prices, plenty of glass options, nothing offensive and nothing exciting. If you're in Myrtle Beach and want a decent glass with your dinner without overthinking it, this gets the job done.
