Thirteen wines — that's it. But before you roll your eyes, take a closer look: this is a raw bar in Marietta, Georgia, and the list reads like someone actually thought about what goes with oysters. Muscadet, Albarino, Petit Chablis — we've seen steakhouses with 80 labels that couldn't match this level of intention.
The list splits cleanly into two tiers. The house Mac's Private Label pours — Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Cab — are the get-it-done options at $12 a glass, and they exist so the table-wide round doesn't require negotiation. The real interest lives in the $15 tier: a Loire Sauvignon Blanc from O&T Les Gourmets, Domaine Girard Muscadet, and Bodega La Val Albariño from Rías Baixas form a coastal-seafood trifecta that would make sense at a much pricier spot. Greywacke from Marlborough and Panther Creek Pinot Gris out of Willamette Valley round out the whites with some geographic range. The reds — Zenato Valpolicella Superiore, Achaval Ferrer Malbec, and a Soul of Mendocino Zinfandel Blend — feel a bit bolted on, but they're there for whoever orders a steak at a raw bar (no judgment).
Every single bottle on this list is available by the glass, which makes Mac's an honest by-the-glass bar more than a bottle destination. At $12–$15 per pour, you can work through four different wines for what you'd pay for one bottle somewhere else — the range makes that kind of exploration genuinely worthwhile.
The Bottom Line
Mac's Raw Bar could have stocked the usual suspects — Kendall-Jackson, Santa Margherita, done — and nobody would have blinked. Instead they built a tight, seafood-smart list anchored by Muscadet, Albariño, and Chablis, with fair prices across the board. If you're eating oysters in Marietta, this is where you want to be drinking.

Gianni & Mac's has a focused, Italian-forward white wine list that punches above its weight in regional authenticity — the Frascati and Etna Bianco alone justify a closer look. The sparkling section is bloated and the markups get steep at the top end, but if you stick to the Italian whites you'll drink well without feeling robbed. Send a friend here for the food and tell them to ask about the Etna Bianco.

Marietta Square · Marietta · Mediterranean/Greek/Middle Eastern
Kiosco Marietta Square punches above its weight class with a genuinely global, all-by-the-glass wine list at prices that won't ruin your evening. The markup is fair across the board, the selection has enough range to reward curious drinkers, and the Colonia Las Liebres Bonarda alone is reason enough to skip the cocktail. It's not a destination wine program, but it's a solid, honest list for a neighborhood spot — and that counts for a lot.

LaStrada's wine list is honest about what it is: a low-friction, low-drama selection designed for guests who want a glass of something familiar with their pasta. The glass-to-bottle ratio is excellent, markups are fair across the board, and the Valpolicella is a quiet nod to Italian authenticity. Just don't arrive expecting the list to match the cuisine's ambitions — it's a reliable neighborhood companion, not a destination.

Marietta · Marietta · New American/Southern
Spring Restaurant is running one of the most interesting wine programs in the Atlanta suburbs, and almost nobody outside of Marietta knows about it. The markup is fair, the by-the-glass selection is genuinely exciting, and the range of producers — from Galician Albariño to old-vine Catalan blends to Sonoma Coast Chardonnay — suggests someone in that building actually cares. If you're eating in Marietta and you care about what's in your glass, this is where you go.

Modena is the neighborhood Italian that actually earned the wine credentials to back up its ambitions — Jill Pipes is running a thoughtful program in a place that could have easily phoned it in. Show up on a Wednesday, order the Pieropan, and let someone else have the Silver Oak.

Mac's Chophouse is a reliable, well-run steakhouse wine program that does California Cabernet better than most places in the Atlanta suburbs — it's not trying to be a wine destination, but it earns its Wine Spectator nod and won't let you down if big red meat and big Napa reds are the plan.

Six Feet Under isn't trying to be a wine destination, and it doesn't pretend to be — but the pricing is fair, nearly everything pours by the glass, and the Cava and Calafuria Rosé give you honest options that actually make sense with seafood. If you're here for the food and want something decent in your glass without overthinking it, this list does the job.

The Big Ketch Roswell keeps the wine program tightly scoped and mostly on-point for a seafood house — fair prices, smart regional picks, and a by-the-glass setup that rewards curious drinkers. It's not going to blow anyone away, but it's not going to embarrass you either. Send a friend here for the Vinho Verde and whatever's fresh on the menu.

High Tide is a genuinely fun, lively seafood restaurant with food worth showing up for — but the wine program is an afterthought dressed up as a list. Twelve Chardonnays with no other variety isn't a curated selection, it's a gap in judgment. Wednesday half-price wine softens the blow, but the program needs a complete rethink before we'd call it worth drinking through. Order the Diatom, skip the Rombauer, and quietly wish someone had added a rosé.
