Wingman Metrics
The wine list at LaStrada is exactly what you'd expect from a comfortable neighborhood Italian spot in Marietta — familiar names, no surprises, and pricing that won't make you flinch. At $9–$11 a glass and bottles topping out at $130, the approachability is clearly the point. This isn't a list built to impress; it's built to keep the table happy.
Thirty-six labels sounds like a reasonable spread, but the depth here is firmly in crowd-pleaser territory — think Kendall Jackson, Woodbridge, and Beringer White Zinfandel alongside a token nod to Italian roots via Placido Chianti, Ca'Donini Montepulciano, and Rose Creek Valpolicella. There's a light gesture toward international range with Wither Hills from New Zealand and Astica Malbec from Argentina, but don't come expecting anything adventurous. The Italian section, which should be the star at a restaurant named LaStrada, is thinner than it ought to be — a Chianti and a Montepulciano isn't exactly a deep dive into the boot. If you're hoping for Barolo, Brunello, or even a Nero d'Avola, you'll leave disappointed.
Twenty-seven of the 36 labels are available by the glass, which is a genuinely generous ratio and the real strength of this program. Prices land cleanly at $9, $10, or $11 a glass with corresponding bottle prices that follow a straightforward formula — no trickery. The glass selection mirrors the bottle list almost entirely, so what you see is what you get.
The Bottom Line
LaStrada's wine list is honest about what it is: a low-friction, low-drama selection designed for guests who want a glass of something familiar with their pasta. The glass-to-bottle ratio is excellent, markups are fair across the board, and the Valpolicella is a quiet nod to Italian authenticity. Just don't arrive expecting the list to match the cuisine's ambitions — it's a reliable neighborhood companion, not a destination.

Marietta · Marietta · New American/Southern
Spring Restaurant is running one of the most interesting wine programs in the Atlanta suburbs, and almost nobody outside of Marietta knows about it. The markup is fair, the by-the-glass selection is genuinely exciting, and the range of producers — from Galician Albariño to old-vine Catalan blends to Sonoma Coast Chardonnay — suggests someone in that building actually cares. If you're eating in Marietta and you care about what's in your glass, this is where you go.

Modena is the neighborhood Italian that actually earned the wine credentials to back up its ambitions — Jill Pipes is running a thoughtful program in a place that could have easily phoned it in. Show up on a Wednesday, order the Pieropan, and let someone else have the Silver Oak.

Mac's Chophouse is a reliable, well-run steakhouse wine program that does California Cabernet better than most places in the Atlanta suburbs — it's not trying to be a wine destination, but it earns its Wine Spectator nod and won't let you down if big red meat and big Napa reds are the plan.

· Woodstock · Italian
Tuscany Italian in Woodstock isn't trying to reinvent the wheel, and that's fine — the Italian selections are legitimate, the glass pour count is genuinely impressive, and the pricing is fair without being exciting. If you're looking for a deep cellar or a rotating seasonal program, keep driving; if you want a solid glass of Chianti with your pasta without any drama, this gets the job done.

Cafe' Bella looks like a genuinely pleasant place to eat Italian in Lafayette, and the atmosphere alone earns it a shot. But until we can document the wine list properly — real bottles, real prices — we can't give you the specific guidance you deserve. Go for the Eggplant Parmigiana and the room; ask your server what they're pouring by the glass and take it from there.

Santucci runs a tight, Italy-focused wine list that rewards the curious — Etna wines, a real Barolo by the glass, a Sicilian Frappato at a fair price. Markup is reasonable across the board, and the all-pours-available-by-the-glass setup is a genuine differentiator in this price range. If you're eating Italian in West Palm Beach and you want to drink something more interesting than the Chianti default, this list earns your attention.
