Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Ippolito's Alpharetta is about as no-drama as it gets — a tidy, approachable lineup built squarely for the red-sauce crowd. Prices top out at $48 a bottle, which immediately signals that nobody's trying to shake you down. This is a neighborhood Italian spot that knows its audience and serves them accordingly.
The list skews heavily Italian and California-friendly, which makes sense for the room. You've got a decent Tuscan anchor with Gabbiano Chianti at the entry level, a step up to Santa Cristina Sangiovese, and the Villa Antinori Super Tuscan holding down the premium end at $48 a bottle. The American side leans on reliable grocery-aisle names — 14 Hands, Meiomi, Mirassou — which won't excite anyone who follows wine closely, but they'll do the job for most tables. White wine, sparkling, and rosé coverage is not evident from the sourced data, which is a real gap for an Italian restaurant.
Every bottle on the list is available by the glass, which is genuinely useful — you can range from a $7 pour of Gabbiano Chianti all the way up to $12 for the Villa Antinori without committing to a full bottle. The glass price-to-bottle ratio holds up reasonably well across the list, so ordering by the glass doesn't feel like a penalty. That said, thirty options on a list that's mostly duplicates and familiar names means the variety is wider on paper than it feels in practice.
The Bottom Line
Ippolito's Alpharetta keeps it simple and mostly keeps it fair — bottle prices stay under $50, the Italian reds are the right call for the cuisine, and the across-the-board by-the-glass program gives you flexibility. Skip the Meiomi, lean into the Italian side of the list, and you'll drink well enough for a weeknight dinner without any drama.

· Alpharetta · New American/Southern
The Cape is doing something genuinely unexpected for Alpharetta — a South African-anchored wine list with fair markups and a by-the-glass program that lets you actually explore it. The red selection is thin and the list won't impress anyone looking for depth, but for a beach bar concept with 21 glass pours and Sancerre at $15, we'd send a friend here without hesitation.

Ocean & Acre isn't trying to be a wine destination, but the list punches above its weight for a suburban seafood spot — fair markups, a thoughtful glass program, and a few genuinely interesting picks tucked in alongside the crowd-pleasers. If you're eating seafood in Alpharetta and want a decent bottle without getting gouged, this is your place.

Sulit is doing something quietly unusual in Alpharetta: committing to a European-focused, white-wine-forward list in a market that typically defaults to domestic Cabernet and Chardonnay. The list is small, but it's curated with a point of view — and the by-the-glass ratio means you can explore without committing to a bottle. If you're tired of the same suburban wine bar experience, this one's worth a detour.

Fiorenza's wine list punches above its weight for an Alpharetta Italian spot — the Italian focus is focused and honest, the by-the-glass program is genuinely broad, and the pricing stays mostly fair. If you're eating here, skip the safe Pinot Grigio and work your way through the more interesting Italian options the list quietly hides in plain sight.

Campania keeps it short and Italian, which we respect. The list won't win any awards for depth, but the Pelissero Nebbiolo and Borgo Tesis Sauvignon show genuine curation in a sea of predictable neighborhood lists. If you want a solid glass of wine with your pasta and you're not looking for a 10-page binder, this gets the job done.

OneDayinParis is doing something uncommon in the suburbs: saying no to everything that doesn't belong. A four-wine list sounds like a limitation, but when the four wines are Sancerre, Premier Cru Chablis, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and Champagne at reasonable prices, it reads more like confidence. If you want range, look elsewhere — if you want a focused, well-chosen French glass with your dinner, this is a genuine find in Alpharetta.

Le Sorelle is a genuinely warm neighborhood Italian with a wine program that does its job without showing off. We don't have enough sourced detail on specific bottles or pricing to steer you toward a particular pour, but the overall restaurant quality — attentive service, serious cooking, special-occasion energy — suggests the wine won't let you down either. Go for the food, drink whatever they recommend with the Lamb Shank, and trust the room.

Campagnolo isn't trying to be a wine bar, and it doesn't need to be — the white and sparkling selections are genuinely solid for a midtown Italian spot. We'd steer toward the Albariño or the Fouassier Sancerre, skip the generic Chardonnay, and keep expectations calibrated: this is a food-first room with a wine list that supports the meal rather than steals the show.

Bambinelli's wine list exists to check a box, and it does exactly that — no more, no less. The pricing is fair enough, the by-the-glass selection is wide, and the Lambrusco is genuinely the right call at an Italian restaurant. But if wine is part of why you're going out to dinner, this list won't give you much to get excited about. Order the Riunite, enjoy your pasta, and save the serious bottle for somewhere else.
