Wingman Metrics
Thirty-seven labels isn't a lot of real estate, but Ocean & Acre uses it smarter than most suburban seafood spots have any right to. The list skews white and light-red — which makes sense when your menu is built around fish — and the pricing stays honest, with most bottles landing in a range that won't make you do mental math all night. This is a list assembled with some actual intention behind it.
The whites do the heavy lifting here, and they do it well. You've got the Willems-Willems Riesling 'Feinherb' for the crowd that thinks they don't like Riesling, a Matanzas Creek Chenin Blanc that's genuinely underused in Atlanta-area restaurants, and a Curran Grenache Gris that signals someone on staff has been paying attention. The reds are leaner — Lechuza Garnacha, a Mary Taylor Bordeaux Rouge, and Prunotto's Barbera d'Asti 'Fiulot' round out the more interesting end — but you also get the obligatory Northstar Merlot and Ride Cab for the guests who aren't budging. Regional diversity is limited mostly to California and a few European stops, so don't come looking for anything from the Southern Hemisphere or off the beaten path.
Eighteen by-the-glass options on a 37-bottle list is a generous ratio, and almost the entire interesting part of the list is available by the pour. Prices run $10 to $18 a glass, with the House House pours anchoring the low end and the Stags' Leap Winery Chardonnay topping out at $18 — steep for a glass but at least it tracks with the bottle price. The glass program is the reason to come here; you can build a solid white-to-light-red progression through dinner without committing to a full bottle.
The Bottom Line
Ocean & Acre isn't trying to be a wine destination, but the list punches above its weight for a suburban seafood spot — fair markups, a thoughtful glass program, and a few genuinely interesting picks tucked in alongside the crowd-pleasers. If you're eating seafood in Alpharetta and want a decent bottle without getting gouged, this is your place.

· Alpharetta · Wine Bar
Sulit is doing something quietly unusual in Alpharetta: committing to a European-focused, white-wine-forward list in a market that typically defaults to domestic Cabernet and Chardonnay. The list is small, but it's curated with a point of view — and the by-the-glass ratio means you can explore without committing to a bottle. If you're tired of the same suburban wine bar experience, this one's worth a detour.

Alpharetta · Alpharetta · Italian
Fiorenza's wine list punches above its weight for an Alpharetta Italian spot — the Italian focus is focused and honest, the by-the-glass program is genuinely broad, and the pricing stays mostly fair. If you're eating here, skip the safe Pinot Grigio and work your way through the more interesting Italian options the list quietly hides in plain sight.

Campania keeps it short and Italian, which we respect. The list won't win any awards for depth, but the Pelissero Nebbiolo and Borgo Tesis Sauvignon show genuine curation in a sea of predictable neighborhood lists. If you want a solid glass of wine with your pasta and you're not looking for a 10-page binder, this gets the job done.

· Alpharetta · French/European
OneDayinParis is doing something uncommon in the suburbs: saying no to everything that doesn't belong. A four-wine list sounds like a limitation, but when the four wines are Sancerre, Premier Cru Chablis, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and Champagne at reasonable prices, it reads more like confidence. If you want range, look elsewhere — if you want a focused, well-chosen French glass with your dinner, this is a genuine find in Alpharetta.

· Alpharetta · Steakhouse
The Butcher and Bottle isn't trying to be a wine destination — it's a steakhouse with a sensible, well-priced list that keeps things moving. The near-total by-the-glass program is genuinely smart, and the pricing is fairer than most places in this category. If you want adventure, look elsewhere; if you want a reliable Cab with your ribeye at a price that won't ruin the evening, this works.

CRU is a perfectly serviceable wine bar if you like California classics and don't mind paying for the reputation on the label. The list won't surprise you, and that's exactly the point — but don't come here looking for natural wine, deep Burgundy, or anything that requires a passport beyond Napa Valley. If you're in Alpharetta and want a glass of Silver Oak without a long drive, CRU delivers.

· Marietta · Seafood
Mac's Raw Bar could have stocked the usual suspects — Kendall-Jackson, Santa Margherita, done — and nobody would have blinked. Instead they built a tight, seafood-smart list anchored by Muscadet, Albariño, and Chablis, with fair prices across the board. If you're eating oysters in Marietta, this is where you want to be drinking.

Six Feet Under isn't trying to be a wine destination, and it doesn't pretend to be — but the pricing is fair, nearly everything pours by the glass, and the Cava and Calafuria Rosé give you honest options that actually make sense with seafood. If you're here for the food and want something decent in your glass without overthinking it, this list does the job.

· Roswell · Seafood
The Big Ketch Roswell keeps the wine program tightly scoped and mostly on-point for a seafood house — fair prices, smart regional picks, and a by-the-glass setup that rewards curious drinkers. It's not going to blow anyone away, but it's not going to embarrass you either. Send a friend here for the Vinho Verde and whatever's fresh on the menu.
