Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Burtons Boca is short — 26 labels — and reads like a greatest hits album you've heard a hundred times. Whispering Angel, Rombauer, Santa Margherita: the band is all here. It's not offensive, but it's not trying very hard either.
The list leans heavily on crowd-pleasing California Chardonnays and name-brand rosés, which will keep most tables happy without surprising anyone. There's a decent nod to international variety — the August Kesseler Riesling from Rheingau and Terras Gauda Albariño from Rías Baixas are genuinely good picks that stand out from the sea of Rombauer and Santa Margherita. On the red side, the Argyle Bloom House Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley and the Château La Nerthe Côtes du Rhône offer some real character if you know to look for them. The gaps are real though — no Italian reds beyond what's implied, no Spanish reds, no Cabernet options explicitly listed outside of Caymus at the top of the price ladder.
Eighteen by-the-glass options on a 26-bottle list is an unusually high ratio, which is actually a win for solo diners and tables that can't agree on a bottle. The range runs $12–$25/glass and covers all the bases — bubbles, whites, rosé, reds — though the selections mirror the bottle list's safe-harbor tendencies. There's no obvious rotation or guest pour program, so what you see is what you get.
Château La Nerthe Côtes du Rhône — $42
We don't have the exact bottle price confirmed, but Château La Nerthe is a serious Rhône producer making wine that punches well above its price class — if this lands at the lower end of the bottle range, it's the smartest order on the list by a country mile. On a Wednesday, it's a no-brainer.
August Kesseler R Riesling, Rheingau, Germany
Nobody at a Boca Raton Modern American restaurant is ordering the German Riesling, and that's a shame. Kesseler makes precise, mineral-driven Rieslings that most people at this table have never tried — it's the one bottle on the list that actually surprises you.
Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio, Alto Adige
At $16/glass or $60/bottle, you're paying a massive brand tax for a wine that retails around $20. It's fine. It's also the most overpriced pour on the list relative to what's in the glass. The Gambino Pinot Grigio from Friuli is right there on the same list and almost certainly a better deal.
Terras Gauda Albariño, Rías Baixas, Spain + Mediterranean Chicken Risotto
Albariño's citrus snap and saline backbone cut right through the richness of a cream-forward risotto while echoing whatever Mediterranean herbs the kitchen leans on. It's the kind of pairing that makes the dish taste brighter without the wine trying to compete with it.
Wednesday — Wine Wednesdays — all bottles on the list at half price. Explicitly promoted at the Boca Raton location. This is the single best reason to visit.
✔️ The Bottom Line
Burtons Boca is a perfectly decent place to drink wine with dinner — just don't expect to be challenged or delighted by the list. Show up on a Wednesday, grab the Albariño or the La Nerthe at half price, and you'll leave happy.

Novello is the best Italian wine list in Boca Raton you're likely to find, and the BTG program alone is worth the trip. Just go in knowing the markups reflect the zip code, not a bargain hunter's paradise.

Savia is doing something genuinely uncommon in Boca Raton: building a wine list around a single region with real intention and credible producers. The markup stings and the list won't satisfy everyone, but if you care about Sicilian wine at all, this is the most interesting glass you'll find in the city.

Meat Market Boca is a reliable wine destination for steakhouse standards — the list is deep enough to be interesting, the by-the-glass program is stronger than average, and Wine Mondays turn a steep list into a genuinely smart night out. Show up Tuesday through Sunday expecting to pay for the room; show up Monday and actually enjoy the wine.

Dorsia's wine list is exactly what it wants to be — polished, crowd-pleasing, and priced for a room that's spending freely. If you're after discovery or value, you'll have to work for it; if you're here for the scene and a great steak, Caymus and a Super Tuscan have you covered.

Louie Bossi's isn't going to win any awards for wine curation, but that daily half-price bottle program is a legitimate reason to show up. Order an entrée, pick strategically, and you'll drink better than the list price would ever suggest.

Saints + Council isn't trying to be a wine destination, but it's not phoning it in either. The list has enough personality to reward someone who digs past the obvious picks — just expect to do that work yourself.
