Wingman Metrics
Six wines. That's the whole list. You open the menu hoping for something interesting and instead find a lineup that looks like it was assembled by someone who shops exclusively at Total Wine on a Tuesday with a $200 budget. There's nothing wrong with keeping it simple, but this isn't simple — it's neglected.
The list is built almost entirely on brand recognition and grocery store shelf appeal: Francis Coppola, Cupcake, La Playa. These are wines designed to not offend anyone, which means they rarely excite anyone either. The lone bright spot is the Casanova di Neri Irrosso — a Tuscan red from a producer that actually has something to say — though it sticks out here like a sports car in a parking garage. There's a Chianti Classico on the list too, but with no producer name attached, that's a coin flip at best. Six labels covering all categories means there's almost no depth: one white, one sparkling, a couple reds, and call it a night.
Everything on the list is available by the glass, which sounds generous until you remember the list is six bottles deep. At $10–$15 a pour, you're paying mid-range wine bar prices for supermarket-level wine. The rotation isn't rotating — what you see is what you get, indefinitely.
Casanova di Neri Irrosso — $15
Casanova di Neri is a legit Montalcino producer, and their Irrosso is an accessible Sangiovese-based red with actual character. At $15 a glass, it's the only pour here where the wine has a story behind it. Relative to everything else on offer, this is the easy call.

Most people ordering wine at a bar like this reach for whatever sounds familiar — Cupcake, Coppola. The Irrosso will get skipped by everyone who isn't paying attention, which is a shame because it's the one bottle on this list that comes from a producer with a genuine reputation in Tuscany.
Cupcake Prosecco
Cupcake Prosecco at bar markup is a tough sell. You're paying restaurant glass prices for a bottle you could pick up at any grocery store for $12. Save it for a mimosa situation where no one's paying attention.
Casanova di Neri Irrosso + Unknown — menu details unavailable
Without dish data we can't make a clean call here, but the Irrosso's Sangiovese backbone — bright acidity, firm structure — is built for anything with tomatoes, cured meat, or char. If there's a burger or a red-sauce anything on the menu, this is your move.
❌ The Bottom Line
Bottle Rocket ATL isn't a wine destination and doesn't pretend to be — but $10–$15 a glass for Cupcake and Coppola is asking a lot of goodwill. Order the Casanova di Neri, appreciate the one good decision someone made, and don't expect more than that.

Tenku Avenue gets the format right — all glass, no bottle minimums — but the list itself plays it too safe for a kitchen that presumably takes more risks than this. Go in knowing what you want, grab the Acrobat or the Blank Stare, and don't let anyone upsell you into the Belle Glos.

Patria is a mezcal bar doing something genuinely unexpected with its wine list — an all-Mexican lineup that earns your attention even if the pricing occasionally tests your patience. If you're curious about what Mexican wine actually tastes like, this is your best classroom in Atlanta.

Lagarde's wine annex isn't going to show up on any must-visit wine destination lists, but it's doing the honest work of making good-enough wine accessible at fair prices with a few genuine bright spots buried in the lineup. Send a friend here who wants to try something a little off the beaten path without getting a lecture about it.

Novu Cucina's wine list punches well above its weight for an Atlanta Italian restaurant — Italian-focused, honestly priced, and deep enough by the glass to make a meal out of just exploring the whites. Send your friends here and tell them to skip the Champagne.

Astor Court is a beautiful room attached to a wine list that stopped trying. Unless you're expensing it or you're here for the Sancerre, the bar program will treat you better than the wine list will.
