Nine wines. All red. No white, no rosé, no bubbles — not even a token Pinot Grigio for the person at the table who insists on it. The list reads less like a curated selection and more like someone grabbed whatever was on sale at the distributor that week.
Every single bottle here is red, which means roughly half your table is getting a cocktail whether they want one or not. The lineup leans heavily on entry-level California Cabernet — Bonanza, Maddalena, Backhouse, and Hess Shirtail Ranches are all pulling from the same $10-15 retail shelf. J Lohr Los Osos Merlot and Altos Malbec add marginal variety, but we're still firmly in the land of mass-produced, high-volume production. The Sella Antica Red Blend is the lone wildcard, though calling it adventurous would be generous.
We don't have confirmed glass pour data for this list, and the website isn't clear on what's available by the glass versus bottle only. Given the format and vibe of the place, assume most of these are poured by the glass — but you're working with a shallow deck regardless of how they slice it.
The Bottom Line
Hobnob is a neighborhood tavern that happens to have wine on the menu, not a restaurant with a wine program. If beer or cocktails are your thing, you're in good hands. But if wine matters to you tonight, this list will let you down — nine reds with no pricing transparency and no range to speak of. Order a bourbon.

So has a wine list built to please a suburban dinner crowd without ruffling any feathers, and it largely succeeds at that narrow goal. The markup is real — most bottles sit at 3–4x retail — but the by-the-glass breadth gives you options to keep the tab reasonable. If you're a wine-first diner, this isn't your destination; if you're here for the scene and the food, you'll find something perfectly fine to drink.

Tavola Trattoria's wine program is five bottles deep and priced without apology — $101 for a Saracco Moscato is the kind of markup that makes you consider ordering water and going wine shopping after dinner. The list has no still wines at all, which is a strange call for an Italian restaurant. Order a cocktail or ask if they have a corkage policy, because this wine list isn't doing you any favors.

La Tavola is an Italian restaurant with a five-bottle wine list that stops at sparkling and rosé — no reds, no whites, no depth whatsoever. The pricing on what's there is difficult to justify. Unless you came specifically for Lambrusco or Franciacorta, you're better off calling ahead to ask about corkage.

Midtown · Atlanta · Wine bar and bottle shop
Mac's Beer & Wine Midtown is a bottle shop doing more than it advertises — 142 labels, fair pricing, and enough range to reward some shelf-browsing time. It's not a wine bar destination in the traditional sense, but if you're looking for a specific producer or want to take something interesting home without a markup that makes you wince, this is the play. We'd send a friend here to shop, not necessarily to sit.

Downtown Atlanta · Atlanta · Cocktail and Wine Bar
Lumen Bar is a beautiful place to have a drink, and if cocktails are your thing, you're in better hands than if you're leaning on the wine list. The atmosphere delivers; the wine program, based on what we can piece together, doesn't earn the same score. If wine matters to you, there are better spots within walking distance of Peachtree Street.

Il Giallo runs one of the more thoughtful Italian wine programs in Atlanta — 35 by-the-glass options with genuine regional range is rare, and the pricing stays fair across most of the list. If you're willing to skip the comfort picks and lean into the Sardinian whites or the Abruzzo reds, you'll drink very well here. Send a friend who actually likes Italian wine; tell the one who always orders Rombauer to sit down.

A one-page, fifteen-wine list that is easy to scan, with most wines posted at two prices. Start with the Coelho Rosé at $11/$44 or the Francois Montand sparkling at $12/$48, and ask your server what the two numbers mean and what is on the captains list. This unrated guide covers the posted wine list, not service, storage or markups.

A 39-wine Georgia list, 21 white and 18 red, with a red group built mostly on Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon and no prices posted. Start with the Encostas do Lima Vinho Verde from Portugal, or the Belle Glos Balade Pinot Noir if you want red, and ask your server for prices and glass sizes before you order. This unrated guide covers the posted wine list, not service, storage or markups.
· Roswell · American Tavern
Marlow's Tavern Roswell is a reliable neighborhood stop with a wine list that covers the bases without taking any real swings. The 72-label count gives it the appearance of depth, but the selection reads as curated for minimum friction rather than maximum interest. If you're ordering wine here, lean toward the overlooked Old World picks and skip the Champagne upsell. It's a solid ✔️ — nothing more, nothing less.
