Wingman Metrics
Four wines. That's the list. Chianti, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and something called Passimora — all priced identically at $26 a bottle or $8 a glass. It reads less like a wine program and more like a placeholder someone typed in when they built the menu.
There's no depth here to dive into — it's a kiddie pool. The four options cover two broad Italian-adjacent categories (a red, a white, a Chianti, and an unknown) without naming a single producer, vintage, or region beyond the grape itself. Passimora is the one name that could mean something interesting, but without a producer or appellation attached, it's impossible to know if it's a bargain or just a mystery. For a restaurant with 'pasta' in its name and presumably an Italian soul, the wine list is a missed opportunity of significant proportions.
Every bottle on the list is also available by the glass at $8, which at least means you're not penalized for drinking solo. The glass-to-bottle ratio is a straightforward 3-to-1, which is fair. But when the entire program is four identical price points with no rotation or seasonal additions, 'by the glass' is more of a technicality than a feature.
The Bottom Line
American Pasta isn't trying to be a wine destination, and the list proves it. At $26 a bottle the pricing won't hurt you, but there's simply not enough information — no producers, no vintages, no effort — to make a confident recommendation on any pour. Order the pasta, drink the water, and save the wine night for somewhere else.

BEY's wine list is small, a little steep on markups, and light on variety — but the Ksara presence saves it from being just another afterthought wine list at a casual Mediterranean spot. If you're eating here, drink Lebanese: the Réserve du Couvent or the Blanc de Blancs will make the meal feel intentional in a way the Bonanza Cab simply won't.

North End Kitchen & Bar is a reliable neighborhood wine program that delivers exactly what it promises: recognizable bottles, nearly everything available by the glass, and zero risk of ordering something weird. The markups run steep across the board, and the list plays it entirely safe with zero Old World representation. Send your friends here if they want comfort — just nudge them toward the Benton-Lane and away from the Caymus.

The Gaslight is a reliable neighborhood wine program in a fine dining wrapper — fair prices, solid by-the-glass breadth, and a few quiet bright spots if you know where to look. It won't win any awards for discovery, but you're not going to get burned either. Order the Riesling, ask about the Cremant, and enjoy your evening.

Truth Be Told has built a tight, smart by-the-glass program that most restaurants in this zip code wouldn't dare attempt — two Sancerres, a Lagrein, and Aix Rosé at honest prices is not an accident. We don't know enough about the service or the food to give this a full endorsement, but if you're in Roswell and you want a real glass of wine without a bottle commitment, this list deserves your attention.

Amalfi is clearly a place people love for the food, the warmth, and the owner-led hospitality — and the wine list seems to know its supporting role. We don't have enough sourced detail on the wine program to make specific recommendations, so go in with reasonable expectations: solid Italian pours at fair prices, nothing adventurous. If the kitchen is this focused on the south Italian coast, we'd push whoever's working the floor toward something white and coastal to go with the Linguine alla Pescatora — and hope they can point you in the right direction.

Zest isn't trying to win any wine awards, and that's fine — the list is priced reasonably, pours freely by the glass, and covers the white-wine territory that makes the most sense with the food. If you're looking for a natural wine deep-dive or anything beyond California standards, you're at the wrong spot. But for a breezy Canton Street dinner, Kung Fu Girl Riesling in hand, you'll leave happy.

Cafe Milano's wine list is a placeholder, not a program — Gallo house pours and grocery-store staples with a couple of Ruffino Chiantis to remind you you're at an Italian restaurant. The pricing is fair and the by-the-glass selection is wide, so you won't feel robbed, but you will feel like the kitchen cares more about your meal than the list does about your glass. Order the Chianti Riserva and spend your energy on the food.

Sapori di Napoli isn't trying to be a wine destination, and that's fine — it's a pizzeria that put genuine thought into sixteen Italian bottles instead of padding the list with grocery-store fillers. If you're looking for a deep cellar or adventurous pours, keep walking; if you want a solid Valpolicella or a proper Brunello with your Neapolitan pie, this list delivers exactly what it promises.

· Alpharetta · Italian
Ippolito's Alpharetta keeps it simple and mostly keeps it fair — bottle prices stay under $50, the Italian reds are the right call for the cuisine, and the across-the-board by-the-glass program gives you flexibility. Skip the Meiomi, lean into the Italian side of the list, and you'll drink well enough for a weeknight dinner without any drama.
