Wingman Metrics
Seventeen labels isn't a lot to work with, but Vino Venue knows exactly what it is — a sparkling-heavy, approachable list built for people who want something a step above grocery store plonk without a lecture about terroir. The champagne section alone punches well above what you'd expect from a suburban Atlanta wine spot. This list has a point of view, and that counts for something.
The sparkling category is the clear star here: you've got Jeio Prosecco, Jaffelin Crémant Brut Rosé, Boschendal Cap Classique from South Africa, and two actual Champagnes — Laurent Perrier Brut and the Gimonnet Gonet L'Origine Brut — all at prices that don't make you wince. The still wine section is thin but curated: Dr. Loosen Dr. L Riesling brings some Old World credibility, Craggy Range Sauvignon Blanc covers New Zealand, and Stoller Chardonnay represents Oregon. Reds are the weak spot — Finca del Castillo Tempranillo and Robertson Sweet Red are fine but leave you wanting more range and weight. There are no barnburner Italian reds, no Cabernet, no Pinot Noir — if that's your night, you'll feel the gap.
Fifteen of seventeen wines are available by the glass, which is the whole game here — this is a by-the-glass-first program, and the range runs from $8 (Riunite Lambrusco) to $22. The Rosa Regale Brachetto d'Aqui at $10 a glass is a fun, slightly sweet red sparkler that most people don't know exists, and it's priced low enough to be a genuine conversation starter.
Laurent Perrier Champagne Brut — $36
A legit grower Champagne at a bottle price that undercuts most restaurants by $15-20. Laurent Perrier Brut at $36 a bottle is a straightforward steal — this retails around $30-35 and rarely appears on lists priced this reasonably.
Gimonnet Gonet Champagne L'Origine Brut
Most people scanning this list will default to Laurent Perrier because the name is familiar. Skip the safe play. Gimonnet Gonet is a small grower house that doesn't get nearly enough attention in the US, and the L'Origine Brut at $42 is the most interesting pour on the entire menu.
Bulletin Place Moscato 2023
At $37 a bottle, this is a mass-market Australian Moscato that retails under $10. The markup is significant for what's essentially a grocery store impulse buy. The Marco Negri Moscato d'Asti or Rosa Regale are both more interesting options at comparable or lower price points.
Domaine Houchart Rosé 2024 + Charcuterie Board
Domaine Houchart is a Côtes de Provence workhorse — dry, crisp, with enough weight to cut through cured meats and soft cheese without overwhelming anything on the board. It's the most versatile bottle on the list for shared snacking.
The Bottom Line
Vino Venue is a genuine suburban overachiever — a small, sparkling-forward list with real Champagne options and fair pricing in a part of Atlanta that typically offers neither. If you're going to drink, lead with bubbles and don't touch the Moscato.
· Cincinnati · Wine Bar
Ripple is punching well above its Cincinnati zip code with a sparkling-forward list that's genuinely thoughtful and mostly fairly priced. If you love bubbles in all their forms, this is your spot — and even if you don't walk in that way, you might walk out converted.

Mountain Road corridor · Stowe · Wine Bar
Dedalus Stowe is a legit wild card — a destination wine bar hiding in plain sight on a ski mountain road. If you care about what's in your glass, detour here before or after the slopes.

Downtown / South Main Street · Canandaigua · Wine Bar
Acquilano isn't trying to be a destination wine bar — it's a Finger Lakes producer pouring its own work in a casual Main Street setting, and it does that with charm and absurdly fair prices. If you're in Canandaigua and you skip this, you've made a mistake.
