Romesco is a Wild Card in the best sense — a Bonita bistro with a wine list that actually thinks about where it is and what it's serving. If you're anywhere near Chula Vista and you want something genuinely different from the usual California Cab-and-Chardonnay routine, this is your spot.

Novo Brazil is a great brewery with a wine list that exists out of obligation. Order the beer, but if your table needs wine, the $10 flat pricing at least keeps the damage minimal.
