Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Truluck's Austin lands with more intention than you'd expect from a upscale chain seafood house. Forty-nine labels, all available by the glass, spanning Cava to Champagne, Mosel Riesling to Napa Chardonnay — this isn't a list assembled by someone clicking through a distributor catalog blindly. It reads like it was built to flatter seafood, which, to be fair, it absolutely does.
The white wine depth here is real. You get two distinct Mosel Rieslings — the approachable Selbach Incline at $13.50/glass and the more serious Markus Molitor Haus Klosterberg at $18 — which tells you someone actually thought about the list beyond Chardonnay. Speaking of Chardonnay, there are nine options spanning Russian River, Santa Barbara, Sonoma Coast, and Napa, running from Davis Bynum at $14 up to Far Niente at $35. The Drouhin-Vaudon Chablis at $21/glass adds an old-world anchor that most steakhouse-adjacent lists skip entirely. The rosé section does the predictable Provence double with AIX and Miraval, and the bubbles tier — Juvé & Camps Cava at $12 up to Bollinger Special Cuvée at $28 — gives you a real range to work with. Red wine data wasn't surfaced in our research, which is a notable gap for a steakhouse context.
All 49 labels are available by the glass, which is genuinely rare and commendable. Prices range from $12 to $35 on the wines we have data for, with the Bollinger Special Cuvée topping out at $28/glass — not a steal, but not a gouge either for a proper Champagne house. The by-the-glass program is clearly the main event here, built for the diner who wants to match their wine course by course without committing to a bottle.
The Bottom Line
Truluck's Austin runs a by-the-glass program that genuinely outperforms what most standalone seafood houses manage, with producers like Markus Molitor and Drouhin-Vaudon sitting next to the expected California lineup. Pricing is fair without being flashy. If you're eating seafood and want to drink well without committing to a bottle, this list has you covered — just work through the whites and bubbles and don't let the Napa trophy bottles at the top drain your wallet.

Eddie V's is a reliable wine destination in the sense that a well-pressed suit is reliable — it won't let you down, but it won't make anyone's year-end list either. If you're on a date, celebrating something, or just need a wine program that won't embarrass you in front of a client, this is a safe and comfortable call. Just don't expect to find anything that makes you pull out your phone to take a note.

Fogo de Chão Austin is not a destination wine list, but it's a legitimately fair one — South American focus, honest prices, and a couple of genuine steals hiding in plain sight. If you're here for the espeto corrido experience, grab a VIK blend at $30 and don't overthink it.

Sammie's is a genuinely fun room with a wine list that's earned its Wine Spectator hardware — the Italian depth is real, the sommelier knows her stuff, and Monday half-price bottles might be the best deal in Austin. Just go in knowing the markups lean steep, and let Jenny point you toward the plays that aren't on the tourist track.

Truluck's Southlake runs a by-the-glass program that most restaurants serving food at this price point can't come close to matching. The European white selections and sparkling depth show a buyer who's actually paying attention. If you're here, skip the Cakebread, order the Selbach, and enjoy the fact that you have real options.

Rosemont · Rosemont · Seafood Steakhouse
Truluck's Rosemont runs a by-the-glass program that punches well above the chain-restaurant expectation — real producers, fair prices on the mid-range pours, and a white wine selection that actually supports a seafood menu. We'd send a friend here for a glass of Markus Molitor Riesling without hesitation. Just steer clear of the Cakebread reflex.

With only four wines sourced from the menu and no pricing data to work with, we can't responsibly call out a winner or a steal here — and honestly, there may not be one. If you're making a trip to Eddie V's McLean for wine, recalibrate expectations before you arrive or lean hard into the cocktail list instead.
