Wingman Metrics
The Press Room is a burger-and-bar joint in the Plaza District that happens to have wine on the menu — emphasis on 'happens to.' The list reads like someone checked a box at the end of a meeting. If you came here for wine, you may want to recalibrate.
There are maybe four or five wine options here, and they land squarely in gas station territory: a house pour, a Cab Sauv, a Chardonnay, a Pinot Gris, and a Sparkling Brut Rosé. No producers are called out, no regions are flagged, nothing about this list suggests anyone thought harder about it than 'red, white, and bubbles.' It covers the bases in the most literal sense possible and stops there. If you're hoping for anything off the beaten path, you're in the wrong zip code.
Glass pours run $7–$13, which is genuinely reasonable for Oklahoma City and keeps things accessible. That said, when every option is a varietal category rather than an actual wine, 'accessible' starts to feel like a polite word for 'anonymous.' Rotation appears nonexistent — this list feels like it was set and filed away.
Sparkling Brut Rosé — $13
At the top of the glass price range but bubbles at a burger bar are a small act of rebellion worth taking. It'll cut through the grease of the Press Burger better than anything else on this list.
Pinot Gris
Easily overlooked when you're scanning a short list for something familiar, but Pinot Gris has enough body and mild acidity to hold its own against bar food. It's the sleeper pick here.
House Wine Cab Sauv
A house Cab with no producer, no region, and no story is the wine equivalent of a shrug. At a place like this, spend the extra dollar and at least grab something with a name.
Sparkling Brut Rosé + Waffle Fry Bonanza
Salty, crispy fries and cold bubbles is an objectively correct combination regardless of venue. The acidity in the Brut Rosé resets your palate between bites in a way no lager can.
The Bottom Line
The Press Room is a solid burger spot that takes wine about as seriously as it takes dietary restrictions. Order the food, order a cocktail or a beer, and save your wine energy for somewhere that reciprocates.

Grey Sweater is doing something genuinely unusual for Oklahoma City — a tight, grower-Champagne-anchored list that rewards the curious and gently punishes the lazy. The markups aren't cheap, but the selection is real, and that counts for a lot when the alternative is another steak house wine list.

Signature Grill is a reliable date-night spot where the wine list won't embarrass you, but it won't excite you either. Stick to Jordan, skip the Caymus markup, and let the kitchen do the heavy lifting.

Edmond (North Metro) · Oklahoma City · Steakhouse
Boulevard Steakhouse is a reliable Edmond institution that takes its wine seriously enough to stock recognizable names at steakhouse-appropriate prices, but not seriously enough to challenge you. Send a friend here if they want a comfortable, familiar experience — just tell them to skip the Caymus and order the Jordan.

Broadway 10 is a reliable wine stop if California Cab is your comfort zone — the list is curated for the chophouse crowd and it delivers on that promise. Just don't expect to discover anything new, and keep an eye on that markup.

Mahogany is a reliable, well-executed steakhouse wine list that serves its audience exactly what they came for — just don't come looking for discovery. Order the Jordan, skip the Caymus markup, and enjoy the fact that someone here actually knows how to store a bottle of wine.

Uptown / Midtown-NW 23rd · Oklahoma City · Southwestern, New American
Cheever's is a genuinely good neighborhood restaurant that treats its wine list as a supporting player, not a headliner — and the steep markups mean you're paying a premium for the convenience of recognizable labels. Come for the food and the vibe; if you drink wine, stick to one glass and let the kitchen do the heavy lifting.

The wine list at Cheddar's Hot Springs exists because a restaurant has to have one, not because anyone gave it a second thought. Order a cocktail, enjoy the scratch kitchen, and save the wine conversation for somewhere else.

The Bistro at Boar's Head isn't a wine destination, but it doesn't embarrass itself either — especially for a resort list, the Virginia producer support is genuine and worth ordering. If you're on property, lean local and you'll leave satisfied.

This is a sports bar with a wine section, not a wine bar that happens to have sports. Order a beer, order a cocktail, order the boneless wings — just don't come here expecting anything from the wine list.
