First Impression
The Hamilton's wine list reads like it was built to impress a certain kind of Oklahoma City diner — someone who knows The Prisoner and Silver Oak by name and feels safe ordering them. It's polished and confident, if a little predictable. You're not going to be surprised, but you're probably not going to be disappointed either.
Selection Deep Dive
The list leans heavily California — Napa, Sonoma, Carneros — with Willamette Valley making a cameo and France and Italy rounding out the edges. The anchor names are recognizable to the point of being almost a greatest-hits playlist: Rombauer, Silver Oak, The Prisoner, Continuum. It's a list built for recognition over discovery, which tells you exactly who they're cooking for. The top end gets serious fast — Continuum 2018 at $360 signals some genuine cellar ambition — but the middle of the list is where most people will live, and it's fine without being exciting.
By the Glass
Nine by-the-glass options in the $9–$15 range gives you workable breadth without overwhelming anyone. The pricing is approachable at the low end, and the selection mirrors the bottle list — familiar names, safe bets. Don't expect the pours to rotate much; this feels like a set-and-forget program.
Raptor Ridge Barrel Select Pinot Noir — $15/glass
Raptor Ridge is a legitimate Willamette Valley producer often flying under the radar compared to the big Oregon names. If it's available by the glass, it's the most interesting pour on the list and worth every cent compared to the California alternatives at the same price.
Raptor Ridge Barrel Select Pinot Noir
Most tables at The Hamilton are going to order Rombauer or The Prisoner without blinking. The Raptor Ridge Pinot is the quietly serious option that rewards anyone willing to look past the brand names — Oregon terroir in a room full of California confidence.
The Prisoner Red Blend
The Prisoner is fine wine, but it's been marked up at restaurants for a decade and a half and you're paying a premium for the label at this point. It's available at every Total Wine in America. Save the spend for something you can't grab at a grocery store.
Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon + Prime steak or chop
Silver Oak's Alexander Valley Cab is built for a big cut of beef — the tannins are there but they stay plush, which means it doesn't fight the fat, it flatters it. Classic pairing for a reason, and The Hamilton's polished supper club vibe is exactly the right room for it.
✔️ The Bottom Line
The Hamilton is a reliable wine destination for Oklahoma City — not a place that's going to expand your horizons, but a place that won't let you down. If you know what you like and want a well-executed version of it, you're in the right room.
