Wingman Metrics
For a neighborhood bistro in Canton, the wine list at Riverstone Corner Bistro punches above its zip code. Thirty-two labels with 29 of them available by the glass — that's an unusually high glass-to-bottle ratio, which tells you this place wants you to explore, not just default to whatever red's open. The price floor of $4 a glass is genuinely hard to argue with.
The list is organized around approachable anchors — Rombauer Chardonnay, Duckhorn Goldeneye, Veuve Clicquot — labels that suburban diners recognize and trust, and that's not a knock. What's more interesting is what's hiding underneath: Schloss Vollrads Riesling from the Rheingau, Pieropan Soave from Veneto, and a Graca Da Pedra Alvarinho from Portugal. That's three genuinely thoughtful European white picks you don't often see at this price level in a non-urban setting. The red side leans heavily on Pinot Noir — Noble Vines through to Goldeneye — with Austin Hope Troublemaker and Klinker Brick Brickmason rounding out the blends. Gaps exist: no Cabernet Sauvignon or Malbec in the extracted rows, which will frustrate the steak-and-Cab crowd.
Twenty-nine by-the-glass options on a 32-bottle list is nearly unheard of — someone here made a deliberate choice to make the glass program the main event. You can walk the full range from a $4 Back House Chardonnay to a $15 Rombauer or a $14 Duckhorn Goldeneye Pinot Noir without committing to a bottle. That kind of access to premium pours by the glass is legitimately useful for groups with mixed preferences.
The Bottom Line
Riverstone Corner Bistro isn't trying to be a wine destination, but it's doing something quietly impressive: stocking a wine list with genuine range, pricing it fairly, and making nearly all of it available by the glass. For Canton, GA, that's not a small thing. If you're in the area and care even a little about what's in your glass, this is your spot.

Union Hill Grill earns its Reliable badge by doing what it sets out to do: give Canton diners a long, approachable wine list dominated by names they already trust. The markup is steep in spots (Caymus at $38/glass, we see you), and there's no adventure to be found outside of California and the occasional Malbec. But Chehalem on a by-the-glass list in Cherokee County? We'll take the win where we can find it.

Mamma Onesta's isn't a destination wine list, but it's a reliable one for a relaxed dinner in Canton — especially if you hit it on a Wednesday when Chianti gets cheaper. The food-forward room, owner presence, and fair-leaning pricing make this a solid neighborhood call; just don't show up expecting buried treasure.

· Canton · Steakhouse
J Michael's Prime is a dependable steakhouse wine list that covers the crowd-pleaser bases without doing much to earn your curiosity. The by-the-glass program is wide enough to find something decent at dinner, and the Prince de Richemont Blanc de Blancs at $6/glass is genuinely hard to argue with as a starter. If you're in Canton and want wine with your steak, you won't go thirsty — just don't expect to be surprised.

Dave & Buster's is not a wine destination, and its Canton location makes no effort to pretend otherwise. Order a beer, hand your tokens to a kid, and save the wine night for somewhere that actually cares.

The Barrel Room on Canal isn't trying to be a destination wine program and it doesn't pretend otherwise — short list, honest prices, no fuss. If you want to share a $28 Malbec without sticker shock, this is your spot.

Carrabba's Canton isn't a wine destination and doesn't pretend to be — four reds and a seasonal dinner don't make a wine program. Order the cocktail, or BYOB if they allow it.

Brookwood Grill's wine list is a reliable, if uninspired, companion to a solid suburban dinner out. If you stick to the more interesting picks — the Hermit Crab Viognier, the Orin Swift, the Catena Malbec — you'll drink well enough. Just don't come here expecting discovery; come here expecting comfort.

1885 Grill Kennesaw keeps the wine list simple, priced reasonably, and stocked with bottles most people already trust. It won't excite anyone who cares deeply about wine, but it won't embarrass anyone either. If you're in Kennesaw for a solid meal and want a bottle that doesn't require homework, this gets the job done — just skip the KJ Chard and go straight for the Malbec.

Dunwoody · Atlanta · New American/Southern
Parkwoods is a dependable wine stop — nothing here will make you a convert, but nothing will embarrass you at a client dinner either. If you're already eating here for the fried chicken or the steaks, order the wine confidently; just don't expect the list to be the reason you came. The Backyard patio is genuinely nice, and a cold glass of something simple out there on a good Atlanta evening is its own reward.
