The wine list at this Carrabba's Canton location is less a list and more a short paragraph — four reds, all from Paso Robles, all Cabernet-adjacent. If you came in hoping to find something Italian to drink with your Italian food, well, that's adorable.
Four wines. That's it. J. Lohr Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon, Pessimist Red Blend, Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon, and DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon — a lineup so narrow it reads like the Paso Robles tourism board sponsored the menu. To be fair, those are recognizable, decent producers, but the complete absence of white wine, Italian varietals, or anything with regional coherence to the cuisine is a swing and a miss. There's no Chianti, no Pinot Grigio, no Barbera — nothing that even nods at the food you're eating. The one silver lining: there's a seasonal Paso Robles wine dinner that shows someone, somewhere, is paying at least occasional attention.
