Wingman Metrics
The wine list here does exactly what you'd expect at an upscale steakhouse: it leans hard into big Cabs, drops a few recognizable names, and charges accordingly. There's nothing adventurous going on, but if you came for a prime ribeye and a glass of something bold and red, this place has you covered. It's the wine equivalent of a greatest hits album — no surprises, no skips, nothing you haven't heard before.
The list runs 50 to 150 bottles and is dominated by California Cabernet Sauvignon and Washington State reds from the Columbia Valley, which at least makes geographic sense for a Redmond address. You'll find the usual steakhouse anchors — Jordan, Silver Oak, Stag's Leap Wine Cellars — alongside local flag-bearer Chateau Ste. Michelle. Don't come here looking for Burgundy, Barolo, or anything that might challenge your assumptions about what wine belongs next to a steak. The list plays it extremely safe, and the gaps in white wine, Rhône-style bottles, and anything from outside the Pacific Northwest or California corridor are real.
The glass program runs an estimated 10 to 20 pours, which is a respectable count for a steakhouse of this size, and prices stretch from $15 up to $50 — so yes, you can spend cocktail money on a single glass without blinking. The pour selection tracks with the bottle list: expect Cabernet Sauvignon in multiple iterations and not a lot else to get excited about. If you're dining solo or just want one glass with your filet, there's enough here to work with, but don't expect the kind of rotating glass program that keeps you coming back to try something new.
Chateau Ste. Michelle Cabernet Sauvignon — $15
This is the Pacific Northwest on your glass, and at the lower end of the pour price range, it's the smart pick. Chateau Ste. Michelle consistently overdelivers for its price point — it's a Columbia Valley Cab that holds its own at the table without draining your wallet before the entrée arrives.
Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon
On a list that's basically a Cab parade, Stag's Leap stands out for the right reasons. The winery has genuine pedigree — this is the house that helped put Napa on the map at the 1976 Paris Tasting — and most diners here will walk past it in favor of the flashier Silver Oak label. Their loss.
Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon
Silver Oak is a fine wine, but it's also one of the most recognizable names in American Cabernet, which means restaurants mark it up accordingly. You're paying a brand tax here. The same money gets you something with more nuance or better value elsewhere on this list.
Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon + Prime Ribeye
Jordan Cab is built for exactly this moment — it's got the structure to stand up to a well-marbled ribeye without the tannin aggression that can overwhelm the meat. It's elegant where Silver Oak is showy, and that restraint makes it a better partner for a great cut of beef.
✔️ The Bottom Line
Prime Steakhouse Redmond is a reliable spot if you want a classic American steakhouse experience with a wine list to match — just know you're paying steakhouse markup for the privilege, and there's nothing on this list that's going to surprise you. Send a friend here for the food; the wine is functional, not a destination.
Overlake / SE Redmond · Redmond · Italian
Tropea is the kind of neighborhood Italian spot where the wine list does its job without breaking any new ground — reliable, Italian-focused, and slightly overpriced in spots. Send a friend here who wants a solid Brunello with their pasta, not a friend who wants to be surprised.

Barking Frog is the kind of wine program you want to find at a wine country lodge — regionally committed, staffed by someone who gives a damn, and built around the same local ethos as the kitchen. Markup is the only real friction; everything else earns its reputation.

Red Robin's wine program is an afterthought dressed as a bar menu — order a craft beer or a cocktail and don't look back. If someone at the table insists on wine, point them toward the rosé and change the subject.

Three Lions is a genuinely fun pub for watching a match over a cold pint — but the wine list is purely incidental, maintained with minimal effort and zero ambition. Come for the football, the beers, and the bangers and mash; if wine is your thing, drink something else tonight.

JJ Mahoney's is a good pub for a pint and some fish and chips — but the wine list is purely functional, not worth seeking out. If wine is your priority tonight, eat here and drink somewhere else after.

Brown's Stockyard Exchange is the wine equivalent of a reliable truck: won't break down, won't blow your mind. If you're eating here for the steaks — and you probably should be — order the Columbia Crest, get out of the way, and let the food do the work.

Wissota Chophouse is a reliable stop for a well-poured glass of something familiar alongside a good steak — just don't expect the wine list to be the reason you drove here. Stick to the mid-tier bottles, avoid the trophy wines, and you'll leave satisfied.

The Chop House wine list is exactly what it needs to be for a casino steakhouse crowd: familiar, polished, and expensive enough to feel special. If you go in with eyes open — skip the Caymus, reach for Jordan or Stag's Leap — you'll drink well enough to make the markup sting just a little less.
