Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Red Robin fits on a cocktail napkin — and honestly, that's being generous. Five labels, all familiar grocery store faces, sitting quietly next to a beer menu that clearly gets all the attention. Nobody comes here for the wine, and the list knows it.
We're looking at a roster that could have been assembled by grabbing whatever was on sale at Costco: Ecco Domani, Kendall-Jackson, Carnivor, two Naked Grape labels, and an Ava Grace Rosé. The regional 'diversity' is technically US and Italy, but that's a stretch — this is mass-market, supermarket-shelf wine dressed up as a bar program. There are no interesting producers, no small-production finds, no attempt to reflect the Pacific Northwest's own backyard. Washington State wine is practically a religion in Redmond, and it doesn't make a single appearance.
All five wines are available by the glass in 6oz or 9oz pours, which is the entire list — there are no bottles hiding in reserve. Prices run from $4.99 to $12.99 a glass, which is about as wide a range as the quality gap between The Naked Grape and Kendall-Jackson (not very wide). Rotation is not a concept that applies here.
The Naked Grape Chardonnay — $4.99 (6oz)
At five bucks a glass, expectations are appropriately calibrated. It's inoffensive, it's cold, and it won't embarrass you. For a chain burger joint, that's the best you can do with this list.
Ava Grace Rosé
It's not exactly a hidden gem in the traditional sense, but on a list this flat, the rosé is the most food-friendly pour available. Light, simple, and it actually holds its own against a salty burger better than the heavier reds here.
Kendall-Jackson V.R. Chardonnay
At $12.99 for a 9oz pour, you're paying a premium for a bottle that retails around $14. The math isn't offensive but the wine is a buttery, oaky crowd-pleaser that deserves to stay at Thanksgiving dinner, not accompany a Whiskey River BBQ Burger.
Carnivor Cabernet Sauvignon + Royal Red Robin Burger
Carnivor is a big, jammy, over-extracted Cab built for exactly this moment — a beef-forward burger with a fried egg and bacon. It's not subtle, but neither is the Royal Red Robin. Sometimes blunt instruments belong together.
❌ The Bottom Line
Red Robin's wine program is an afterthought dressed as a bar menu — order a craft beer or a cocktail and don't look back. If someone at the table insists on wine, point them toward the rosé and change the subject.
Overlake / SE Redmond · Redmond · Italian
Tropea is the kind of neighborhood Italian spot where the wine list does its job without breaking any new ground — reliable, Italian-focused, and slightly overpriced in spots. Send a friend here who wants a solid Brunello with their pasta, not a friend who wants to be surprised.

Woodinville Wine Country / Willows Lodge · Redmond · Pacific Northwest / Modern American
Barking Frog is the kind of wine program you want to find at a wine country lodge — regionally committed, staffed by someone who gives a damn, and built around the same local ethos as the kitchen. Markup is the only real friction; everything else earns its reputation.

Downtown Redmond · Redmond · British pub, sports bar
Three Lions is a genuinely fun pub for watching a match over a cold pint — but the wine list is purely incidental, maintained with minimal effort and zero ambition. Come for the football, the beers, and the bangers and mash; if wine is your thing, drink something else tonight.

JJ Mahoney's is a good pub for a pint and some fish and chips — but the wine list is purely functional, not worth seeking out. If wine is your priority tonight, eat here and drink somewhere else after.

Downtown Redmond · Redmond · American Steakhouse and Bar
Brown's Stockyard Exchange is the wine equivalent of a reliable truck: won't break down, won't blow your mind. If you're eating here for the steaks — and you probably should be — order the Columbia Crest, get out of the way, and let the food do the work.

Downtown Redmond · Redmond · Pizza / Italian
Vicino is a genuinely surprising wine program hiding inside a casual pizza concept — the Italian-focused list has real depth and some prestige bottles that belong in a much fancier room. Markups on the top shelf are aggressive, but if you stick to the mid-tier and the glass pours, you're eating well and drinking better than you had any right to expect.
