Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Prime on Peachtree opens with ambitions that the selections don't quite back up. Thirty-one labels sounds like a respectable count until you realize the list is stuffed with duplicates — Hahn SLH Chardonnay appears twice, Masi Masianco shows up twice, and Domaine Laporte does the same. Once you subtract the reruns, the actual breadth here is thinner than it looks.
The list skews heavily toward crowd-pleasing whites and rosés, with bubbles and pink wine accounting for a substantial chunk of the real estate. Reds are almost an afterthought: DAOU Pessimist, a Maison Louis Jadot Pinot Noir, and a Chateau Carigan Côtes de Bordeaux Cadillac are about the extent of it. There's no real regional adventure happening — no Spanish, no German, no Southern Hemisphere, no skin-contact anything. What's here is safe, recognizable, and aimed squarely at the guest who wants something they've seen before.
Every single bottle on the list is also available by the glass, which sounds generous until you run the math. A glass of Domaine Chandon Brut at $35 pencils out to roughly four glasses per bottle — at $140 a bottle that's actually par, but Chandon retails around $20-$25, making the markup aggressive either way. The glass program is wide in name only; what you're really getting is a wall of safe-choice pours at fine-dining prices.
The Bottom Line
Prime on Peachtree has a wine list that's doing the bare minimum dressed up in fine-dining clothes. The markups are steep, the variety is thin once you strip out the duplicates, and the red wine section barely exists. If you're here for a special occasion, the Cave de Lugny is your honest move; everything else on the list is priced for the room, not for you.

Glenn's Kitchen is a hotel bar wine list doing exactly what hotel bar wine lists do — keeping guests comfortable and margins healthy. The Luigi Pira Nebbiolo is a genuine bright spot worth seeking out, but this isn't a destination for wine. If you're staying at The Glenn or grabbing dinner nearby, you won't suffer — just go in with expectations set accordingly.

Antica Posta earns a Wild Card for doing one thing with genuine conviction: assembling a Brunello di Montalcino selection that most Atlanta restaurants wouldn't attempt. It's not a balanced list, pricing data is opaque, and if you're looking for Barolo, Champagne, or anything outside Tuscany, you'll be reaching. But if you want to drink serious Sangiovese — Poggio di Sotto, Fuligni, Marroneto — in a room that clearly cares about it, this is the place to do it.

Café Lapin keeps it simple and mostly gets it right — a compact, French-leaning list with fair prices and a few genuinely smart picks tucked in. We'd send a friend here for wine without hesitation, especially if they're willing to venture past the California Chardonnays and into what this list actually does well.

Blackjack Bar Tapas runs one of the smallest wine lists we've come across in Atlanta, but it's hard to fully roast it — the four picks are genuinely considered. The markups are a little stiff across the board, and if you're hoping for a Spanish red to wash down your tapas, you're out of luck. But if you want a glass of zero-dosage Cava or an Oregon Pinot Gris at a bar that clearly has a point of view, this list delivers more than it has any right to.

Eight Sushi Lounge is a Wild Card for a reason: the ambition is real, even if the execution is uneven. The whites punch above their weight for this format, the Etna Bianco is a genuine find, and fifteen glass pours gives you room to explore without committing to a bottle. But the markup is steep across the board, the red selection is thin below the splurge tier, and dropping $450–$490 on Opus One in a sushi lounge is a leap of faith we wouldn't personally take. Come for the glass pours, leave the black card in your wallet.

Restaurant 356 is a quietly confident wine list that earns more respect the longer you look at it. The Alsatian whites and German reds alone make it worth a visit for anyone tired of the same 10 bottles that show up everywhere in Atlanta. We'd send a friend here specifically to drink the Carl Ehrhard Spätburgunder and feel smug about it.

The Gaslight is a reliable neighborhood wine program in a fine dining wrapper — fair prices, solid by-the-glass breadth, and a few quiet bright spots if you know where to look. It won't win any awards for discovery, but you're not going to get burned either. Order the Riesling, ask about the Cremant, and enjoy your evening.

Truth Be Told has built a tight, smart by-the-glass program that most restaurants in this zip code wouldn't dare attempt — two Sancerres, a Lagrein, and Aix Rosé at honest prices is not an accident. We don't know enough about the service or the food to give this a full endorsement, but if you're in Roswell and you want a real glass of wine without a bottle commitment, this list deserves your attention.

5Church Buckhead is a fine place to pop Champagne on someone else's card, but don't come here expecting a wine list that challenges or excites you. The markups are real, the selections are safe, and the by-the-glass program shows no signs of evolution — but it's executed competently enough that you won't be disappointed, just unsurprised. If you're celebrating, the sparkling section delivers. For everything else, order strategically.
