Wingman Metrics
The wine list at 5Church Buckhead opens with a serious sparkling section — seven Champagne labels including Dom Pérignon at $550 and Taittinger at $226 — which tells you exactly where the priorities lie. It's a list built for special occasions and expense accounts, not for adventurous exploration. You know where you stand immediately.
With 35 labels total, this is a compact list that leans heavily on recognizable names: Veuve Clicquot, Jordan, Miraval, Illumination. The whites show some range — a Mosel Riesling from St. Urbans-Hof, an Alsatian Pinot Gris from Hugel, and a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc from Allan Scott — but there's no real reach into grower Champagne, natural wine, or anything that might surprise a seasoned drinker. The rosé selection is well-curated if predictable, and the sparkling section is the clear star. What's notably absent is depth on the red side; the extracted data shows the list cuts off at rosé, which suggests the red program may be equally conventional.
Fifteen by-the-glass options is a solid count for a list this size, ranging from $11 to $28 per glass. The glass program covers all the obvious bases — Prosecco, Champagne, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and rosé — but there's no evidence of rotation or any effort to keep things fresh. What you see is what you get, and it's been sitting there a while.
The Bottom Line
5Church Buckhead is a fine place to pop Champagne on someone else's card, but don't come here expecting a wine list that challenges or excites you. The markups are real, the selections are safe, and the by-the-glass program shows no signs of evolution — but it's executed competently enough that you won't be disappointed, just unsurprised. If you're celebrating, the sparkling section delivers. For everything else, order strategically.

5Church Midtown is a reliable wine stop for Midtown Atlanta — not adventurous, but not embarrassing. The Champagne selection punches above its weight for a restaurant program, and the 17-glass lineup gives you plenty to work with. Markups trend steep across the board, so stay smart with the bottle selections and you'll drink well enough. Send a friend here for bubbles before a concert; send a serious wine drinker somewhere else for dinner.

AltaToro isn't here to impress wine nerds, but it's not ignoring them either. The Iberian focus is real, the glass count is generous, and the pricing is honest enough that you won't feel taxed for drinking well. Send a friend here who wants wine that actually fits the food — just don't send them expecting a deep cellar.

Six wines at an Italian restaurant helmed by a celebrity chef is not a wine program — it's a placeholder. The markups lean steep (Collet at $100/bottle is a tough sell), there's zero Italian red depth, and the list hasn't been built to match the cuisine. Come for the food if Scott Conant's cooking earns your visit, but manage your wine expectations accordingly.

Concourse T · Atlanta · Wine Bar
Vino Volo earns its Wild Card badge not by being a great wine bar in the abstract, but by being a genuinely decent one inside one of the world's busiest airports. Markup will be airport markup — accept that going in — but the international reach on the list and the half-price Tuesday glass program show more care than the setting demands. If you're killing time at Concourse T and you care even a little about what's in your glass, this is where you should be sitting.

F & B earns its keep as a reliable by-the-glass destination — 46 pours by the glass is a legitimately useful feature, and there are smart picks buried in a list that otherwise feels like it was curated for people who only want to order what they already know. Markups run steep, especially at the top end, and the French restaurant identity isn't really reflected in the wine list. If you're eating here, go for the Chablis or the Scharffenberger, skip the Bordeaux splurge, and enjoy the flexibility.

Sagra is doing something genuinely rare for Atlanta: running a deep, focused, low-intervention wine list with fair pricing in a neighborhood that doesn't usually ask for it. We don't have dish details to close the loop on food pairings, but the wine program alone is worth the trip. Send your adventurous friends here — and tell them to ask about the col fondo.

Truth Be Told has built a tight, smart by-the-glass program that most restaurants in this zip code wouldn't dare attempt — two Sancerres, a Lagrein, and Aix Rosé at honest prices is not an accident. We don't know enough about the service or the food to give this a full endorsement, but if you're in Roswell and you want a real glass of wine without a bottle commitment, this list deserves your attention.

Luna's is a genuinely pleasant place to have dinner, and the wine list won't embarrass anyone — but it's built for comfort, not discovery. If you're coming for the Chicken Marsala and a glass of something red in a nice room, you'll leave happy. If wine is the reason you're making the reservation, you may want to call ahead and ask what's actually on the list before you commit.
