You walk into a historic hotel pub covered in McMenamins' signature weird art and half-expect the wine list to be an afterthought. It's not. The list is short but it's almost entirely house-produced Oregon wine, which is either charming or limiting depending on your mood.
McMenamins has built their own wine program from Pacific Northwest vineyards, and Hotel Oregon leans into it hard — nearly every bottle on the list carries their label. You've got Willamette Valley Pinot Gris, White Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, a Merlot, a Cab, and even a Blanc de Noirs sparkling from Rebecca's Vineyard in Umpqua Valley. The Poor Farm Pinot Gris is an estate-label standout, and the Fireside Zinfandel port-style is a genuinely fun curveball at the end of the list. What you won't find: any Burgundy, Barolo, or anything that wasn't grown within a few hundred miles — and that's kind of the whole point.
Ten to fourteen options by the glass at $8.25–$11 is a strong spread for a pub in McMinnville. You can work through a solid cross-section of McMenamins' lineup without committing to a bottle, which makes this a low-stakes way to explore their house program. Rotation doesn't appear to be aggressive — it's mostly a fixed lineup — but at these prices, we're not complaining.
McMenamins White Riesling (Willamette Valley) — $8.25/glass
Willamette Valley Riesling by the glass for under nine bucks in a wine region town? That's the move. It's a house pour, yes, but Oregon Riesling at this price point is a genuine steal and a smarter order than defaulting to whatever Pinot you were about to reach for.
Blanc de Noirs (Rebecca's Vineyard, Umpqua Valley)
Most people at a pub order a pint. The ones who spot the Umpqua Valley sparkling Blanc de Noirs and order that instead are winning. It's an uncommon find on any pub list, let alone at these prices, and Umpqua Valley sparkling is deeply underappreciated outside Oregon wine circles.
McMenamins Cabernet Sauvignon
Oregon is not Cab country, and a house-label Cab at a hotel pub isn't likely to change your mind. If you want something red and full, the Black Rabbit Red blend or the Pinot Noir will serve you better in this context.
Poor Farm Pinot Gris + Fish and Chips
Estate-label Pinot Gris has the weight to stand up to fried fish without bulldozing it, and the natural acidity cuts right through the batter. Classic Oregon logic applied to a pub classic.

This is a house-wine program at a historic hotel pub, and it delivers exactly what it promises — approachable Oregon pours at fair prices in a genuinely fun room. Don't come here hunting for Chambolle-Musigny; do come here for a cold glass of local Riesling before you go wine tasting in the Willamette Valley.

Bistro Maison is a genuine wine surprise — a white-tablecloth French bistro in small-town Oregon running a list that would earn respect in Portland or San Francisco. The markups are real and the BTG program is modest, but if you're in Willamette Valley wine country and want to drink something extraordinary over duck confit, this is your room.
