Wingman Metrics
You're in a Redmond Town Center strip mall expecting nothing, and then the wine list lands β 24 labels deep with Gorman, DeLille, and Abeja staring back at you. It's a genuinely curated Washington State showcase tucked inside a rotisserie joint, and that's a legitimately pleasant surprise. The format is tight and focused, which in this case feels like a feature, not a bug.
The list leans hard into Washington State and does it with real intent β this isn't just Chateau Ste. Michelle on repeat. You've got Gorman's 'The Devil You Don't Know' GSM, Dusted Valley's cult-status 'Stained Tooth Syrah', and DeLille Cellars showing up twice with the Doyenne red and the Chaleur Blanc. L'Ecole No. 41 Chenin Blanc Old Vines from Yakima Valley is a smart, left-field pick that earns its place. The gaps are real β no sparkling, no rosΓ© mentioned, and the international presence (Italy, France, New Zealand, California) feels like filler compared to the Washington core. But if you're here to drink the state, this list delivers.
All 24 bottles are available by the glass, which is either generous or a logistical headache depending on how seriously they're managing open bottles. Glass pours run $11 to $21, covering entry-level Cab to Abeja Walla Walla territory. Rotation doesn't appear to be a thing here β it reads more like a static list than something that gets refreshed with the seasons.
L'Ecole No. 41 Chenin Blanc Old Vines Yakima Valley β Unknown β bottle pricing not listed for this label
Chenin Blanc from old Yakima vines is legitimately underpriced in the broader market, and L'Ecole is one of Washington's most consistent producers. If the glass price lands in the $13β$15 range, this is the smart order β interesting, food-friendly, and better than anything California Chardonnay is doing for the same money.
Gorman 'The Devil You Don't Know' GSM Rhone Blend WA
Most people at a place called Rotisserie & Oyster Lounge are reaching for Pinot or Cabernet. The GSM Rhone blend from Gorman β a producer with a legitimate cult following in WA β is the move. It's got the weight for rotisserie chicken and the complexity to hold its own. Most tables will walk right past it.
La Crema Chardonnay Sonoma Coast CA
At $15 a glass or $56 a bottle, La Crema is doing a lot of heavy lifting on price for a wine you can find at every grocery store in America. With L'Ecole Chenin Blanc and DeLille Chaleur Blanc on the same list, there's no reason to default to the safe California pour.
Dusted Valley 'Stained Tooth Syrah' WA + Rotisserie Chicken
A full-bodied, smoke-inflected Washington Syrah against properly rotisserie-rendered chicken is not a subtle pairing β it's a direct hit. The savory, slightly gamey character of Stained Tooth locks into the char and rendered fat of the bird in a way that lighter reds simply can't match.
π² The Bottom Line
Matt's is punching above its weight class for a strip mall rotisserie spot β the Washington State focus is genuine and well-chosen, even if the markups could stand to be friendlier. Send a wine-curious friend here with instructions to order anything from Gorman, DeLille, or L'Ecole, and they'll thank you.
Overlake / SE Redmond Β· Redmond Β· Italian
Tropea is the kind of neighborhood Italian spot where the wine list does its job without breaking any new ground β reliable, Italian-focused, and slightly overpriced in spots. Send a friend here who wants a solid Brunello with their pasta, not a friend who wants to be surprised.

Barking Frog is the kind of wine program you want to find at a wine country lodge β regionally committed, staffed by someone who gives a damn, and built around the same local ethos as the kitchen. Markup is the only real friction; everything else earns its reputation.

Three Lions is a genuinely fun pub for watching a match over a cold pint β but the wine list is purely incidental, maintained with minimal effort and zero ambition. Come for the football, the beers, and the bangers and mash; if wine is your thing, drink something else tonight.

BeachHouse isn't going to win any awards for list depth or markup restraint, but Thursday's half-price bottle night is a genuine redemption arc β suddenly that $72 Sparkman Grenache at $36 makes the whole list look a lot more interesting. Come on a Thursday, sit near the water, and drink better than the list's sticker prices would suggest.
