The wine list at La Terraza is seven lines long — and that's being generous. What you're looking at is essentially the wine aisle at a mid-tier grocery store, condensed onto a laminated menu page somewhere between the combo plates and the desserts.
Seven labels total, with White Zinfandel and 'Burgundy' sharing real estate with Chablis and Cabernet Sauvignon — all generic, no producer names in sight, and almost certainly poured from large-format bottles. The region 'focus,' if you can call it that, is split between California and France in the loosest possible sense. There's no story here, no curation, no sign that anyone sat down and thought about what wine might actually complement the food. This is a list that exists because a restaurant is supposed to have wine, full stop.
All seven wines are available by the glass at a flat $7, which is at least honest and inoffensive. The standout — and we use that term loosely — is the Sangria Casera at $15.99, which is the only thing on this list that shows any personality. Everything else is interchangeable at that price point.
Sangria Casera — $15.99
It's the only thing on this list that feels intentional. House-made sangria at a neighborhood Mexican spot is almost always the right call — it's made for this food, it's festive, and it's the one item here that didn't come off a national distributor's standard order form.
Chablis
At $7 a glass, nobody's reaching for the Chablis at a Mexican restaurant — but a lean, unoaked white with high acidity is actually a reasonable match for chile-forward dishes. Don't expect grand cru, but it's the most food-friendly white on a very short list.
White Zinfandel
It's 2024. There's no version of this that ends well. The sweetness fights the savory heat in the food, and it's the most dated pour on an already dated list.
Sangria Casera + Combination plate with tacos and enchiladas
The fruit-forward, lightly sweet profile of a house sangria softens the spice and cuts through the richness of melted cheese and braised fillings. It's the easiest, most crowd-pleasing move on this menu.
❌ The Bottom Line
La Terraza is a solid neighborhood spot for the food — but the wine list is an afterthought and everyone involved knows it. Come for the fajitas, order the sangria, and save the bottle of wine for when you get home.

Tampico is a neighborhood Mexican spot that does its core job well — the wine list is simply not part of that job. Order the margaritas, grab a Sangria carafe if you need something to share, and save the wine conversation for somewhere else.

Outback Everett feeds a lot of people well, but the wine list is pure cruise control — familiar labels, chain markups, and zero effort to go beyond the obvious. Order the Ste. Michelle, enjoy your steak, and don't come here expecting anything more from the bottle.

Red Lobster's wine list exists to check a box, not to enhance your meal. Order the Ste. Michelle Riesling, enjoy your biscuits, and save the serious wine for somewhere that actually cares.

Buffalo Wild Wings Everett is not a wine destination — it is a sports bar that happens to have a few bottles on a shelf somewhere. Save your wine curiosity for literally anywhere else in Everett and order the beer.

Olive Garden's wine list is the dining equivalent of airport Wi-Fi — functional, fine, and not something you'd ever brag about. Order the Chianti, enjoy the breadsticks, and save the serious bottle for somewhere that earned it.

Applebee's wine list exists because it legally has to, not because anyone here loves wine. Order the cocktails, drink the beer, and come back for wine somewhere else.

El Charro is nobody's wine destination, but the Thursday half-price bottle program and the Wine Wednesday $5 pours make it worth factoring in if you're already coming for the enchiladas. Come for the food, stay for the deal.

El Paraiso is a solid neighborhood Mexican spot where the tequila program and the kitchen are doing the real work. The wine list is an afterthought and should be treated as one — order a margarita and move on.

El Azteco is a beloved college-town institution, and the wine list knows its place — it's there so you can technically order wine, not because anyone thought hard about it. Stick to the margaritas; they're the real program here.
