Wingman Metrics
The wine list at It's Greek To Me is short enough to read before your bread arrives — and that's actually fine. This is a casual taverna, not a wine bar, and the list knows its lane: Greek and Italian bottles that belong on the same table as spanakopita and moussaka. No pretense, no filler Napa Cab, just focused and honest.
With 10 to 20 labels, there's not much depth here, but what's present is deliberate. Greek producers like Boutari and Tsantali anchor the list with varietals — Moschofilero and Rapsani — that you won't find on most Hilton Head wine lists, which earns some real credit. The Italian side leans predictably on Pinot Grigio via Cavino, a solid if unremarkable crowd-pleaser. The gap is everything else: no rosé, no skin-contact, nothing from Santorini's Assyrtiko, which feels like a missed open door for a place cooking this cuisine.
Six to ten pours by the glass in the $9–$14 range is a reasonable spread for a casual neighborhood spot, and the price ceiling is refreshingly sane for a tourist-heavy island. We'd love to see the BTG list rotate to mirror the seasons or feature more Greek-specific grapes, but what's here is accessible and priced to encourage a second pour.
Tsantali Rapsani — $38
Rapsani is a serious red from Mount Olympus — Xinomavro, Krassato, and Stavroto — that most diners will have never encountered. At bottle prices in the $28–$55 range, this is the bottle that overdelivers hardest and makes the meal feel like an actual trip to Greece.
Boutari Moschofilero
Most guests will walk right past this and grab something familiar, but Moschofilero is a floral, high-acid white from the Peloponnese that's genuinely fun and food-friendly. It's the kind of grape that makes you put down your fork and ask what you're drinking — in a good way.
Cavino Pinot Grigio
Nothing wrong with it, but nothing right about it either. You're at a Greek restaurant — why are you ordering the most generic Italian white on the planet? It's the safe call that wastes your opportunity to try something you can't get at every other restaurant on the island.
Boutari Moschofilero + Spanakopita
The bright acidity and floral lift of Moschofilero cuts right through the richness of the feta and buttery phyllo. It's a textbook Greek pairing that the home country figured out centuries ago — we're just happy someone in Hilton Head is giving us the chance to try it.
✔️ The Bottom Line
It's Greek To Me won't win any wine awards, but it's doing something quietly right: serving Greek wine with Greek food at prices that don't sting. Send your friends here if they're curious about Hellenic grapes — just steer them away from the Pinot Grigio.

Sea Salt isn't trying to win a wine list award and it shows, but it's not trying to rip you off on selection either — just on price. If you're already there for the scallops and the view, the wine list will serve you fine; just set your expectations to vacation mode and not discovery mode.

The Harbour Town Clubhouse wine list is exactly what it needs to be for its audience — familiar, functional, and unlikely to offend anyone in a golf shirt. Just know going in that you're paying resort prices for resort selections, and calibrate your expectations accordingly.

Reilley's is a reliable beach-town bar that happens to have wine — not a wine destination that happens to serve food. Hit it during happy hour for half-off house pours, order the Rosé with your crab cakes, and keep your expectations calibrated to the vibe.

Redfish is the kind of wine list that works better than it should for a coastal tourist spot — 400 bottles is nothing to dismiss, even if the selection leans on crowd-pleasing California names and the pricing reflects the zip code. Go in knowing what you want, order the Riesling by the glass, and you'll have a fine night.

The Pearl is a solid, well-dressed list that serves its upscale coastal crowd without rocking any boats. Bring a group, let someone order the Miraval, and don't let the Silver Oak get near your credit card.

Il Carpaccio is a reliable dinner option for Hilton Head visitors who want a glass of something recognizable without overthinking it — but anyone hoping to find Italy on the wine list will come up short. Drink the bubbles, enjoy the pasta, and don't expect the list to challenge you.

Greca is worth a visit for the food, but the wine list is running on autopilot — five generic pours and a single Greek varietal keeping the whole thing from total irrelevance. Come for the dolmades, drink the Xinomavro, and don't expect much else from the glass.

If you're willing to let Greece drive, Kapnos Taverna's wine list is one of the more focused and honest all-Greek programs you'll find at this price point in the DC area. Send a friend here — but brief them on the concept first so they don't show up expecting a Chardonnay.

Kouzina is a counter-service gyro spot with a Greek wine list that would embarrass a lot of full-service restaurants — that's the Wild Card situation right there. If you're anywhere near Greenville and curious about what Greece actually tastes like in a glass, this is a weirdly perfect place to find out.
