Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Reilley's reads like a greatest hits compilation of American casual dining — heavy on recognizable labels, light on surprises. It's the kind of list you scan in about 45 seconds and immediately know exactly where you are. That's not a knockout, but it's not a crime either.
Twenty-five labels covering California, Italy, and a nod to Oregon is a tight but coherent scope. The lineup leans on brand-name workhorses: Silver Oak, Cakebread, Santa Margherita, DAOU, Francis Coppola — names that sell themselves so the staff doesn't have to. You won't find anything from Burgundy, the Rhône, Spain, or anywhere that might challenge a vacationer's comfort zone, which is probably fine given the beach-bar clientele. King Estate Pinot Noir from Oregon is the one pick that shows a flicker of regional curiosity beyond the usual California parade.
Nineteen by-the-glass options out of 25 total labels is an unusually high ratio — nearly the whole list is available by the pour, which is genuinely useful. Glasses run $8–$15, so you can explore a few without committing to a bottle. No evidence of a rotating BTG program, so what you see is what you get, visit after visit.
DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon, Paso Robles — $46/bottle
DAOU retails around $20–$22, so the markup stings a bit, but it's the most approachable price point among the big reds here and delivers a reliably plush, fruit-forward Cab that punches above its station on the table.
King Estate Pinot Noir, Oregon
Nobody at a Hilton Head pub is ordering the Oregon Pinot — they're all reaching for Silver Oak — but King Estate makes a consistently good, earthy Pinot that's a welcome break from the Napa cab-bomb parade. Order it and feel just a little smug about it.
Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon, Alexander Valley
At $95 a bottle, you're paying a steep premium for a label that retails around $65–$70. Silver Oak is a fine wine, but this is a pub in a beach town, not a steakhouse — the markup doesn't match the room.
Louis Jadot Rosé, France + Crab Cakes
The Jadot Rosé is the only French wine on a resolutely American list, and it earns its spot here. Its bright acidity and subtle fruit cut right through the richness of crab cakes without bullying the delicate seafood. It's the pairing that actually makes sense, and most people will walk right past it.
Daily — Half off house wine during Happy Hour, 4–7 PM. Not valid with additional discounts, coupons, or promotions.
✔️ The Bottom Line
Reilley's is a reliable beach-town bar that happens to have wine — not a wine destination that happens to serve food. Hit it during happy hour for half-off house pours, order the Rosé with your crab cakes, and keep your expectations calibrated to the vibe.
Shelter Cove · Hilton Head Island · Seafood / New American
Sea Salt isn't trying to win a wine list award and it shows, but it's not trying to rip you off on selection either — just on price. If you're already there for the scallops and the view, the wine list will serve you fine; just set your expectations to vacation mode and not discovery mode.

Harbour Town / Sea Pines · Hilton Head Island · Resort / American
The Harbour Town Clubhouse wine list is exactly what it needs to be for its audience — familiar, functional, and unlikely to offend anyone in a golf shirt. Just know going in that you're paying resort prices for resort selections, and calibrate your expectations accordingly.

Redfish is the kind of wine list that works better than it should for a coastal tourist spot — 400 bottles is nothing to dismiss, even if the selection leans on crowd-pleasing California names and the pricing reflects the zip code. Go in knowing what you want, order the Riesling by the glass, and you'll have a fine night.

Shelter Cove · Hilton Head Island · Upscale Coastal American
The Pearl is a solid, well-dressed list that serves its upscale coastal crowd without rocking any boats. Bring a group, let someone order the Miraval, and don't let the Silver Oak get near your credit card.

Mid-island · Hilton Head Island · Italian
Il Carpaccio is a reliable dinner option for Hilton Head visitors who want a glass of something recognizable without overthinking it — but anyone hoping to find Italy on the wine list will come up short. Drink the bubbles, enjoy the pasta, and don't expect the list to challenge you.

Hinoki isn't a wine destination, but it's not trying to be — it's a solid neighborhood Japanese spot with a list that covers the bases, keeps prices in check, and won't embarrass you in front of a date. Order the Oyster Bay, get the omakase, and call it a win.
