Sitting inside the Calistoga Motor Lodge & Spa, Fleetwood wears its wine list like a well-pressed linen shirt — casual enough for a pool-adjacent lunch, polished enough for a private dining event. The list is short, but there's clearly someone with taste making selections. You're in Napa, so expectations run high, but this isn't trying to be a tasting room.
The list leans into its California roots with solid anchor picks like Duckhorn and Schramsberg, both crowd-pleasers that make sense in this zip code. What's surprising is the dessert wine program — an Estate Argyros 'Vinsanto' from Santorini 2012, Emilio Hidalgo Pedro Ximenez Sherry, Quinta de la Rosa 10 Year Tawny Port, and Pesquié Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise 2017 give the back end of this list more personality than the front. The main wine selection feels safe and Napa-centric, which will satisfy the hotel crowd but won't thrill anyone looking to venture beyond familiar labels. Gaps in the mid-list are noticeable — there's no obvious exploration of Italian regions despite the Italian-leaning menu, which feels like a missed connection.
Ten options by the glass is a respectable count for a hotel restaurant of this size. Schramsberg is one of California's benchmark sparkling producers, and having their Brut Rosé available by the glass at a hotel restaurant in Calistoga is the right call. It's festive, versatile, and carries the weight of the wine country setting without the pretension. Price unknown from available data, but it's the pour we'd start with every time.
Estate Argyros 'Vinsanto' Santorini 2012
Nobody orders this. A Vinsanto from one of Santorini's most respected estates, made from sun-dried Assyrtiko grapes, is genuinely rare to find on a restaurant list in Napa Valley. Most diners here are reaching for another Cab — which means this bottle is sitting quietly, waiting for someone with curiosity to discover it. Order it.
Duckhorn North Coast Sauvignon Blanc
Perfectly fine wine, but Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc is available everywhere from grocery stores to airport lounges. You're in Calistoga — the markup here versus what you'd pay at retail makes this the least interesting choice on the list. There's better ground to explore.
Pesquié Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise 2017 + Wood-fired pizza
Hear us out — a slightly sweet, aromatic Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise from the Rhône cuts through wood-fired char and plays nicely against any tomato-forward, herb-heavy pizza. It's an unconventional move that works better than the obvious Chianti reach, and it shows off a part of the list most tables will completely ignore.

Fleetwood is a solid hotel wine list with a quietly impressive dessert wine collection that punches above its weight — if you're willing to look past the expected Napa pours. Send a friend here for a glass of Schramsberg on the patio, and tell them to save room for the Vinsanto.

Castello di Amorosa is unabashedly a destination experience, and the wine list reflects that: captive audience, estate-only pours, pricing that leans on the setting as much as the wine. But the Italian-varietal focus is genuinely interesting, the courtyard is a legitimately great place to drink, and if you're already on Highway 29, there are worse ways to spend an afternoon.
