Wingman Metrics
The wine list at F & B leads with one genuinely impressive stat: 46 by-the-glass options out of 56 total labels. That's an unusual ratio — almost everything on the list is available by the glass, which is a real commitment to flexibility. The overall selection, though, skews toward familiar names you'd recognize from any upscale grocery store shelf.
The list leans heavily on recognizable crowd-pleasers — Whitehaven, Sonoma-Cutrer, Quilt, Veuve Clicquot — names that sell themselves without much staff explanation required. There's a nod to France with the Famille Gueguen Chablis 2023 and a Sancerre 2023, and a gesture toward Burgundy with the Louis Jadot Pouilly-Fuissé 2023, but the Old World representation is thin for a French/European restaurant. The Chateau Beauregard Dugasse Bordeaux 2023 at $185/bottle is the most ambitious selection on the list, though the gap between it and everything else is dramatic. If you want adventure, you're mostly looking at a list that plays it safe.
Forty-six by-the-glass options is genuinely impressive in scope — you could essentially work through the entire bottle list one glass at a time. Glass prices range from $12 to a very steep $66 for the Chateau Beauregard Dugasse Bordeaux, with most pours landing in the $13–$19 range. The breadth is the win here; the depth is another matter.
The Bottom Line
F & B earns its keep as a reliable by-the-glass destination — 46 pours by the glass is a legitimately useful feature, and there are smart picks buried in a list that otherwise feels like it was curated for people who only want to order what they already know. Markups run steep, especially at the top end, and the French restaurant identity isn't really reflected in the wine list. If you're eating here, go for the Chablis or the Scharffenberger, skip the Bordeaux splurge, and enjoy the flexibility.

East Atlanta Village · Atlanta · Italian wine bar
Sagra is doing something genuinely rare for Atlanta: running a deep, focused, low-intervention wine list with fair pricing in a neighborhood that doesn't usually ask for it. We don't have dish details to close the loop on food pairings, but the wine program alone is worth the trip. Send your adventurous friends here — and tell them to ask about the col fondo.

Buckhead · Atlanta · Italian Steakhouse
Luella has the infrastructure for a genuinely good wine program — sommelier on staff, a cuisine that practically demands serious red wine, and a room that sets the right tone. But without a published list and with a Bordeaux-heavy focus at Buckhead prices, there's a real chance you're paying a premium for predictability. Go in with your eyes open, lean on the sommelier, and push them for something beyond the obvious — if they're worth their title, they'll deliver.

· Atlanta · Italian and Seafood
Atalian is doing something genuinely strange — a sparkling-only wine list at an Italian seafood restaurant — and we respect the commitment even when the execution leaves gaps. If you're in the mood to pop bottles, there's a decent range from entry-level Prosecco to prestige Champagne. If you want a glass of white wine with your pasta, eat somewhere else.

The Battery Atlanta · Atlanta · Wine Bar & Bistro
Crú earns its keep as a solid pre- or post-game stop in The Battery — the Napa lineup is dependable and the rosé selection is bigger than you'd expect. But without pricing transparency or by-the-glass confirmation, it's hard to fully endorse. If you're with a table of Cabernet loyalists, you'll all be happy; if you're hunting for something off the beaten path, you'll need to look harder.

Midtown · Atlanta · American Tavern
Hobnob is a neighborhood tavern that happens to have wine on the menu, not a restaurant with a wine program. If beer or cocktails are your thing, you're in good hands. But if wine matters to you tonight, this list will let you down — nine reds with no pricing transparency and no range to speak of. Order a bourbon.

So has a wine list built to please a suburban dinner crowd without ruffling any feathers, and it largely succeeds at that narrow goal. The markup is real — most bottles sit at 3–4x retail — but the by-the-glass breadth gives you options to keep the tab reasonable. If you're a wine-first diner, this isn't your destination; if you're here for the scene and the food, you'll find something perfectly fine to drink.

· Milton · French/European
L'Antoinette is doing something genuinely surprising in Milton — a Bordeaux-focused wine list with real producers, fair bottle prices, and enough by-the-glass options to make a solo diner feel taken care of. We'd send a friend here specifically for the wine, and that's not something we say about many suburban French spots.

Pascal's Bistro earns its keep as a reliable neighborhood wine stop — nothing flashy, but the regional range is appropriate and the Wednesday $6 wine promotion is the kind of deal that quietly makes a restaurant a regular habit. We'd send a friend here for a midweek dinner without hesitation, and encourage them to call ahead and ask what's pouring by the glass that night.
