Wingman Metrics
Sixty-eight labels at an Italian wine bar in East Atlanta Village — that alone earns a second look. The list reads like someone raided a natural wine importer's warehouse and then made a pit stop in Champagne: Pet Nat, col fondo, orange wine, grower Champagne, skin contact from Australia. This is not a list built to comfort you.
The Italian backbone is serious and specific — Liguria shows up twice (Terenzuola Vigne Basse and Durin Riviera Ligure di Ponente), Abruzzo gets a double feature with Tiberio and Rabasco, and the Lambrusco section actually means something with Zanasi Grasparossa and Fondo Bozzole Giano. The sparkling section alone covers Franciacorta, grower Champagne, Pet Nat col fondo, and a $260 Ultramarine Rosé for when you feel like making a statement. What keeps this from being a pure Italian list is the confident global detours: Day Wines from Willamette, Chalmers from Murray Darling, Delinquente from Adelaide Hills, and Ink Grade out of Napa. The $40–$274 price range means there's a real floor and a real ceiling, and most of the action happens in a very reasonable $44–$70 window.
By-the-glass options aren't published in the available data, so we can't give you a pour count or confirm which bottles rotate to the glass. What we can say is that a list this eclectic, with this many under-$60 bottles, has real potential for a strong glass program — but you'll want to ask when you arrive.
The Bottom Line
Sagra is doing something genuinely rare for Atlanta: running a deep, focused, low-intervention wine list with fair pricing in a neighborhood that doesn't usually ask for it. We don't have dish details to close the loop on food pairings, but the wine program alone is worth the trip. Send your adventurous friends here — and tell them to ask about the col fondo.

Buckhead · Atlanta · Italian Steakhouse
Luella has the infrastructure for a genuinely good wine program — sommelier on staff, a cuisine that practically demands serious red wine, and a room that sets the right tone. But without a published list and with a Bordeaux-heavy focus at Buckhead prices, there's a real chance you're paying a premium for predictability. Go in with your eyes open, lean on the sommelier, and push them for something beyond the obvious — if they're worth their title, they'll deliver.

· Atlanta · Italian and Seafood
Atalian is doing something genuinely strange — a sparkling-only wine list at an Italian seafood restaurant — and we respect the commitment even when the execution leaves gaps. If you're in the mood to pop bottles, there's a decent range from entry-level Prosecco to prestige Champagne. If you want a glass of white wine with your pasta, eat somewhere else.

The Battery Atlanta · Atlanta · Wine Bar & Bistro
Crú earns its keep as a solid pre- or post-game stop in The Battery — the Napa lineup is dependable and the rosé selection is bigger than you'd expect. But without pricing transparency or by-the-glass confirmation, it's hard to fully endorse. If you're with a table of Cabernet loyalists, you'll all be happy; if you're hunting for something off the beaten path, you'll need to look harder.

Midtown · Atlanta · American Tavern
Hobnob is a neighborhood tavern that happens to have wine on the menu, not a restaurant with a wine program. If beer or cocktails are your thing, you're in good hands. But if wine matters to you tonight, this list will let you down — nine reds with no pricing transparency and no range to speak of. Order a bourbon.

Vinings · Atlanta · Contemporary American
So has a wine list built to please a suburban dinner crowd without ruffling any feathers, and it largely succeeds at that narrow goal. The markup is real — most bottles sit at 3–4x retail — but the by-the-glass breadth gives you options to keep the tab reasonable. If you're a wine-first diner, this isn't your destination; if you're here for the scene and the food, you'll find something perfectly fine to drink.

· Atlanta · Italian
Tavola Trattoria's wine program is five bottles deep and priced without apology — $101 for a Saracco Moscato is the kind of markup that makes you consider ordering water and going wine shopping after dinner. The list has no still wines at all, which is a strange call for an Italian restaurant. Order a cocktail or ask if they have a corkage policy, because this wine list isn't doing you any favors.

· White Plains · Italian wine bar
Mima Vinoteca is doing something genuinely useful: a tight, all-Italian list with fair prices and nearly everything available by the glass, in a suburb that rarely rewards this kind of effort. If you're in White Plains and you want to drink well without a spreadsheet, this is your spot.

Little Italy · San Diego · Italian wine bar
Vinarius isn't trying to out-impress anyone, and that's its quiet strength — a cozy Little Italy wine bar with a clear Italian identity and prices that won't ruin your evening. Send a friend here for a low-key date-night bottle, but tell them to ask questions and be open to wherever Sicily takes them.
