Ten wines. That's it. Most places would embarrass themselves with a list this short, but Corima earns it — every single bottle on here has a reason to exist. This is a curated list, not a lazy one, and the difference is obvious the moment you start reading producer names.
The list spans natural-leaning producers from France, Spain, Germany, and what looks like Mexico — a genuinely unusual geographic spread that signals someone with actual taste is making decisions here. You've got Envinate's Lousas from Ribeira Sacra sitting next to a Vollenweider Mosel Riesling, a Fosse-Sèche Saumur white, and a Tavel rosé from Romain Le Bars — old-world focus but without the stuffy predictability. The inclusion of Casa Jipi's Rancho Llano Colorado and La Casa Vieja suggests a specific interest in Mexican wine, which is rare enough in New York that it's practically a calling card. The Buelan Oloroso as a sherry option rounds things out — someone here actually drinks sherry, and that's a good sign.
The entire list appears to be by the glass, which is either brave or brilliant depending on how you look at it — probably both. The categories break down into sparkling, white, skin contact, red, and sherry, meaning even with ten pours, every major style gets a seat at the table. No pricing data surfaced in our research, so we can't tell you what it'll cost, but the range of styles means you can build a full meal's worth of pours without repeating yourself.
Envinate Lousas 2023 — Price not available
Envinate is one of the most respected natural producers working in Galicia right now, and Lousas consistently punches above its retail price. Finding it on a by-the-glass program at any restaurant is a win — it's mineral, tense, and interesting in a way that justifies whatever they're charging.
Buelan Las Canciones No 2 Oloroso
Most diners skip the sherry section without a second thought, and that's exactly why this is the move. A good Oloroso has more complexity than half the red wine list at most restaurants, and Buelan is a serious producer. Order it with food and watch the table turn around.
El Bajio Brut
Without pricing data or more context on this producer, the sparkling by-the-glass slot feels like the least distinctive pick on the list — surrounded by wines with clear identities, this one is harder to justify on name alone. Go for the André Heucq Heritage Brut Nature instead if you want bubbles with a story.
Fosse-Sèche Arcane 2022 + Any seafood or vegetable-forward dish on the menu
Fosse-Sèche's Saumur whites are Loire chenin at its most taut and saline — built for food, not for sipping alone. That mineral tension cuts through richness and amplifies anything bright or briny on the plate. It's the kind of wine that makes the whole table eat better.
🎲 The Bottom Line
Corima's wine list is proof that ten well-chosen bottles beat a hundred thoughtless ones every time. If you care about what's in your glass, this place is worth your attention.
Midtown West · New York · Russian-American
The Russian Tea Room treats wine as an afterthought dressed up in Champagne flutes — five famous labels at punishing prices with no range, no by-the-glass program, and no apparent curiosity about wine beyond what looks impressive on a table. Go for the spectacle, order the caviar, but don't come here expecting a wine list.

David Burke Tavern's list is a Chardonnay lover's comfort zone with a solid sparkling section propping up the top — but the narrow focus and steep pricing mean you're paying for familiarity, not discovery. Send a friend here if they want California whites and a glass of Champagne; send them somewhere else if they want to explore.

Cecchi's is first and foremost a bar, but the wine list is more serious than the neon and noise suggest. Steep markups are the main ding — but if you know what to order, there's real pleasure here.

SoHo · New York · Steak House, Small Plates
The Corner Store is a reliable, well-credentialed wine list doing exactly what a good SoHo steakhouse should — France and California, done with intention, in a room that makes you want to order another bottle. Just watch the markup on the big Bordeaux names and let the Rhône or Burgundy side show you a better time.

Farra is punching above its weight class for a neighborhood wine bar, and the Wine Spectator nod is earned — just know that the serious bottles come with serious prices, and the no-sommelier setup means you're doing some of the navigating yourself. Worth it for anyone who knows what they want; potentially overwhelming for those who don't.

Tao is not a wine destination, but it's not trying to be — it's a scene, and the list services that scene competently. If someone else is picking the restaurant, you can drink well here; just order smart and don't let the bottle service energy talk you into Opus One with your satay skewers.

Merriman's Honolulu delivers a wine list that punches above the typical Hawaii resort-area offering — genuinely good producers, a clever small-format section, and enough variety to reward a curious drinker. The pricing skews steep and the list won't surprise anyone, but you won't be embarrassed ordering here either.

Anhelo is doing something quietly ambitious — a focused, considered wine list in a city that often settles for Caymus and a bucket of Whispering Angel. The markups aren't shy, but the curation is real, and the Sauternes library alone is worth a detour.

Grey Sweater is doing something genuinely unusual for Oklahoma City — a tight, grower-Champagne-anchored list that rewards the curious and gently punishes the lazy. The markups aren't cheap, but the selection is real, and that counts for a lot when the alternative is another steak house wine list.
