Chandon is fine, but it's also available at every Whole Foods in America. At a Midtown restaurant with upscale positioning, this is a low-effort pour that doesn't match the room's ambition or the check average.
Drylands Sauvignon Blanc + Chilled Seafood Tower
Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and cold shellfish is one of the most reliable combinations in the book — bright acidity, citrus cut, no competition with delicate seafood flavors. Order both during happy hour and you've done something right.
