The wine list at Zydeco feels like it was assembled with a distributor catalog and a dartboard — Kim Crawford, La Crema, Meiomi, Mondavi. You've seen this list a hundred times. That said, it fits the room: loud, fun, no pretense, and Wednesday half-price bottles turn a steep markup into something worth ordering.
Eighty labels sounds impressive until you realize the hits are all the same New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs and California Pinots that populate every casual chain in the country. New Zealand and California dominate, with a smattering of South American options rounding things out. There's no Old World presence to speak of, no skin-contact experiments, nothing that would make a curious drinker linger over the list. It does what it needs to do for a Cajun kitchen in downtown Bend, but it's not winning any points for ambition.
Ten by-the-glass options in the $9–$16 range — workable but unsurprising. Expect the usual suspects rotating through: Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, a Cab. There's no indication the pours change frequently, which tracks with a list that feels more set-it-and-forget-it than curated.
Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough 2022 — $42
Yes, the markup is steep at full price — but on Wednesday nights that bottle drops to $21, which is actually close to retail. Crisp, high-acid Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc cuts right through the spice in the jambalaya. Come on Wednesday or skip it.
La Crema Chardonnay
It gets dismissed as a grocery store Chardonnay, and at full price that's fair. But La Crema Sonoma Coast is actually a solid, restrained example of California Chardonnay — less oaky than its reputation suggests. Worth a glass if you're ordering anything cream-based off the menu.
Meiomi Pinot Noir California 2021
At $58 a bottle, you're paying 132% over retail for a blended California Pinot that retails for $25 and tastes like it. Sweet, jammy, crowd-pleasing — but not worth the tab at full price. Wednesday only, or not at all.
Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough 2022 + Crawfish Etouffee
The bright citrus and grassy snap of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is exactly what you want against the buttery, spiced roux of the etouffee. Acid cuts the richness, keeps the heat in check, and doesn't compete with the crawfish.
Wednesday — Half-price bottles of wine all night
✔️ The Bottom Line
Zydeco's wine list is a predictable crowd-pleaser that gets away with steep markups most nights — but Wednesday half-price bottles make it genuinely worth showing up for. Come for the food, stay for the deal.
Downtown Bend · Bend · Wine Bar & Retail Wine Shop
Viaggio is the kind of wine bar that has no business being this good in a ski town, and that's exactly why it earned a Wild Card badge. If you care about what's in your glass, make a stop here before or after dinner — you'll leave with a better bottle than you planned on.

Pastini is a Lazy List on a normal night, but Wine Wednesday flips the math enough to make it worth a visit if you know what you're doing — show up on Wednesday, order the Elk Cove or Cooper Mountain, skip the Ste. Michelle, and enjoy your pasta. Any other night, manage your expectations accordingly.

Tetherow · Bend · Upscale Pacific Northwest and New American
Solomon's is a safe, well-intentioned resort wine program that does Oregon proud without doing anything adventurous — come for the elk and the Drouhin, not for discovery. If you're staying at Tetherow or celebrating something, it delivers. If you're driving across Bend specifically for the wine list, adjust your expectations.

The Row is a reliable pour in a beautiful setting — the wine list won't blow your mind, but the Sokol Blosser rosé and a smart sparkling pick make it easy enough to drink well here. Order the fish, grab the rosé, enjoy the view.

Jackson's Corner Eastside is a counter-service café that quietly put together a wine list worth paying attention to — Oregon-focused, fairly priced, and genuinely thoughtful for the format.
