Wingman Metrics
Walking into a winery's own tasting room with a restaurant attached sets a particular expectation, and this list mostly delivers on it. Thirty-seven labels sounds compact, but when the house is Willamette Valley Vineyards — one of Oregon's largest and most decorated Pinot producers — that number goes a long way. The focus is tight, intentional, and refreshingly honest about what it is: a showcase, not a survey course.
The list is almost entirely WVV's own portfolio, which is either a feature or a bug depending on what you came for. You get genuine depth across multiple estate tiers — the approachable Estate Pinot Noir at $40/bottle all the way up to the single-vineyard Bernau Estate at $100 — so there's real range even within the house. The white side offers more diversity than you'd expect: Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, a White Pinot Noir, and a Tualatin Estate Chardonnay give browsers options beyond the obvious. The two curveballs — Griffin Creek Tempranillo from Southern Oregon and a Pambrun Cabernet Sauvignon from Walla Walla — offer a nod to Pacific Northwest wine country beyond the Willamette, though they're clearly supporting cast, not headliners.
Ten by-the-glass options is a solid count for a list this focused, spanning $14 for the Whole Cluster Pinot Noir up to $26 for the Pambrun Cab. The Gamay Noir at $18/glass is a smart addition for anyone who wants something lighter and more food-friendly than the estate Pinots. Rotation data isn't available, but the menu's seasonal framing suggests these pours do get updated.
The Bottom Line
If you're in Vancouver and want to drink serious Willamette Valley Pinot without crossing the river and paying Portland markups, this is exactly the right stop. The list is narrow by design and honest about it — and when the producer is this good, narrow works. Send a friend who loves Oregon wine and wants to explore the tiers without guesswork.
· Vancouver · Winery and Wine Bar
Valo's Vancouver tasting room earns its Wild Card badge by being exactly the kind of place you wouldn't expect to find in a mid-size Pacific Northwest city — a committed, Washington-focused wine experience in a genuinely good-looking waterfront space with staff who actually know the wines. We don't have full pricing and list details to send you in with a game plan, but the regional focus and relaxed-but-informed atmosphere make it worth a visit. Grab a flight, order the salmon dip, and let the staff do their thing.

La Bottega is a Wild Card in the best sense: a café-deli-wine-shop in a city not known for serious wine, pouring Arnot-Roberts and Dönnhoff by the glass at fair prices. If you're in Vancouver, WA and want a genuinely good pour with your lunch, this is your spot.

Line & Lure clears the casino restaurant bar by a comfortable margin — fair prices, a thoughtful white wine program, and a Royal Tokaji that earns genuine respect. We'd send a friend here for a pre-dinner glass without hesitation, as long as they stick to the whites.

DOSALAS is a tequila bar with a wine list that's doing the minimum — decent regional picks, steep markups, and no real surprises. Drink the Albarino or the Tempranillo and save your wine ambitions for a dedicated wine spot.

The Hammond isn't a destination wine list, but it punches above its weight for a craft bar — especially if you love Pacific Northwest reds. Send a friend here, point them toward the Oregon section, and tell them to skip the cocktails.
