Wingman Metrics
The list at Uptown Barrel Room is short and focused — 17 wines, all available by the glass, which tells you exactly what this place is about. It's a neighborhood wine bar built for casual sipping, not deep cellar hunting. That's not a knock; it's a promise, and they mostly keep it.
The list leans heavily on approachable, widely distributed labels — Smith & Hook, Daou, Bravium — the kind of wines you recognize from a good bottle shop shelf. There's a clear tilt toward California, with a few Oregon nods via Del Rio Pinot Gris and Rock Point Pinot Noir. The white side covers the basics — Chard, SB, Pinot Gris, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Rosé, Prosecco — without much adventure, while reds get a little more interesting with Bravium Pinot Noir, a CSM Limited Release Syrah, and PARS Zinfandel rounding out the usual Cab-forward lineup. Don't come here looking for Burgundy or Barolo, but if you want a solid glass of something familiar at a fair price, this list delivers.
Every single wine on the list is available by the glass — all 17 of them — which is the whole point here. Prices run from $11 to $18, with most clustering in the $11–$15 range, making it easy to try two or three without wincing at the bill. The Rotating Rosé is a smart move, giving regulars a reason to check back.
Bravium Pinot Noir — $15
Bravium sources from solid Mendocino appellations and consistently punches above its price point. At $15 a glass, you're getting a legitimate Pinot Noir with real character — not a watered-down crowd pleaser. This is the wine to order if you're serious about what's in your glass.
CSM Limited Release Syrah
Most people at a casual wine bar walk straight past Syrah to grab a Cab, which is exactly why this one sits underordered. A limited release Syrah at $15 a glass is worth the detour — it's the most interesting red on the list and the one most likely to make you pause mid-conversation.
Confetti Pinot Grigio
At $11 a glass, it's not a rip-off on price, but Confetti is the definition of a forgettable, mass-produced Pinot Grigio. When Del Rio Pinot Gris sits right next to it for just a dollar more and offers actual Oregon provenance and personality, there's no reason to go this direction.
PARS Zinfandel + Charcuterie Board
Zinfandel's bold fruit and pepper backbone make it a natural against cured meats and aged cheeses. The PARS Zin at $13 a glass is an easy call when you're working through a charcuterie spread — the richness of the wine matches the salt and fat without overwhelming anything on the board.
The Bottom Line
Uptown Barrel Room isn't trying to be a destination wine list, and it doesn't need to be — it's a solid neighborhood wine bar with fair prices, good enough options, and the rare commitment to making everything available by the glass. Send a friend here for a casual weeknight pour without hesitation.

The Hammond isn't a destination wine list, but it punches above its weight for a craft bar — especially if you love Pacific Northwest reds. Send a friend here, point them toward the Oregon section, and tell them to skip the cocktails.

Tommy O's wine list isn't going to make you cancel your dinner reservation somewhere else, but it's an honest, no-nonsense selection that covers the basics at what appears to be reasonable prices. Send your friends here for the food and a decent pour — just don't expect to geek out over the list.

Six Shooter is a Wild Card in the best sense — a rural estate bar where the wine list is short because they're making most of it themselves. If you want depth and variety, look elsewhere; if you want to drink local wine where it was grown, this is the move.

Elements is a better wine list than its size suggests, with a genuinely curious regional spread and a Thursday bottle special that makes the steep markups temporarily irrelevant. Show up on a Thursday, order the Mercer Grenache or the Alain Voge, and you're having a very good night in a city that doesn't always get credit for it.

Coyote Bar & Grill isn't a wine destination, but it doesn't pretend to be one either — fair prices, decent Pacific Northwest representation, and a comfortable room make it a perfectly reasonable place to drink well enough. Send a friend here if they're already going for the food; don't send them here just for the wine.

Maryhill Vancouver is a genuinely good reason to detour into Washington wine country without leaving the city limits — the Klipsun Cab alone justifies a visit. It's not trying to be a destination wine bar, but it earns its place as the best pour on the Vancouver waterfront.

Bin 119 is the best wine answer Billings has, and that patio earns its reputation on atmosphere alone. The list could push harder on value and discovery, but as a reliable spot to drink well above your zip code's expectations, it absolutely delivers.
